...that we get an influx of new people just as the comic is about to end?

I've never posted but I started reading the strip around the time we found out about Felix and Kestrel having been together. It's funny.... I don't own a TV, but I remember how devastated my sister was when Friends ended, and I think I feel the same way about this strip as she did about her show. *bwaaaaaah*

Honestly, though, I'd rather Aeire end it than let it get stale.

I think quite a few readers (like me, even though this is my first post in these forums) joined after the S*P crossover.

It's how I found QOW, too, reading the S*P archives (in one or two nights, i think) and stumbling upon the very first crossover where Choo Choo Bear escapes through the drain to end up in the QOW strip.

Actually, I did it the reverse of most of the people here. I found QoW, then got sucked into S*P with the crossovers.

nope... I'm a S-P to QoW reader. A friend of mine hooked me on SP and I followed the Choo-Choo Down the Drain crossover. So I turned around and got that same friend hooked on QoW. hehehe

My introduction

Postby HiFranc on Sun Jan 02, 2005 7:20 am

I was just feeling bored one day so went to the Keenspot front page. I remembered that one of the artists that I read/used to read (can't remember which) had a link to Queen of Wands on their links page so decided to give it a try.

I've been reading the comic for a looooong time now, but I just joined the forum a few weeks a go.
I think more people might be joining the forum as they feel they need to share their thoughts, while there are heavy things happening because the comic is at a crucial point and about to end.

STarted reading..

Postby FearlessWillow on Sun Jan 02, 2005 2:29 pm

I started reading over a year ago just started posting recently too.

I started reading cause I was reading machall (which I thought was funny but didn't really understand) but then one day while reading there was a 'read porn' ad for QoW and then I got stuck and read through the archives. I love this comic. I'll be sad when its done.

I can't remember how I found QoW. There was a period of a couple of weeks where I was unemployed, so I started following links to pass the time. I joined the forum because I this is a favorite out of the ones I found.

The genesis of it all is Penny-Arcade and Diesel Sweeties. I think there might have been one more, but I can't think of it at the moment.

I actually got linked here from a freind I was chatting to on aim. By the time I'd finished going through the archives I felt I was obliged to drop into the forums. I think I'm a keeper now!

I can't remember whether I found S*P or QoW first, but they were both about the same time, right when Shannon went to the hospital to deliver. Until today, I had no idea that the strip was scheduled to end: guess I didn't read the side notes too well!

Both strips have been wonderful: I look forward to seeing what Aeire does in finishing this one out, and where she goes from here!

I have been reading every other day since Kestrel started dating her second BF. I dont even really remember his name, only that he dumped her on F'n line over AIM. Goddamn Jackass. Whatever happened to him anyway?

Anyway, my girlfreind showed me the strip because we are both named after characters. She broke up with me long ago, but QoW still stands. Keep it up Aerie, I look forward to your next comic.

My very first boyfriend broke up with my on an mIRC channel. Of course he lived at about an hour and a half drive from my home, and we were both young and relied on our parents to drive us, but still... the phone still would have been better.

Cowards, the lot of them.

Yeah it was the one with Adam. Sorry to hear he broke up with you like that. I may not be the best guy (So many ex Girlfreinds remind me on every chance meeting) But I would never break up with someone online, or mail or whatever. I atleast have the decency to go face to face, it sucks but its a responsoibility.

hell, even i managed to break up with my (now ex) fiance by phone rather then mirc. i admit doing it in person would have been better, but by then she'd graduated college and moved back to malaysia (about 9,000 something miles away) and her father made it clear if i ever step foot in malaysia, he'd have me killed...

it sucked, but years later it's actually kind of cool to have a country you're not allowed to enter, on pain of death. :)

Since a 'shotgun wedding' is where the groom is forced to the alter by a relative of the bride holding a shotgun... would that be a 'shotgun bachelorhood'?

That sucks dude. Was she still in to marrying you?
