Our dangerous, intimidating villain, ladies and gentlemen... defeated by a sucker punch from a character consistently established as comic relief who routinely takes himself apart.

Seriously, the only way to eliminate what little tension Bumper's disfigurement and death meagerly stoked any faster would be if Spark had jumped on his face. It was bad enough that losing his hands and getting a deep gash in his gut just kinda seemed more like, "well, darn, paper-cut." after the fact.

Mookie, I'd like to draft up an award for you. Worst dramatic writer of all time.

I will give Quilt a pass on this as he is, from what I remember, made from extremely dangerous people. He however has mostly been used for comedy, but I am sure he can actually kick ass if needed.

That was what I was thinking too. Jacob made a big deal about Quilt's 'Enhanced Parts'. Maybe it's time to see what they can finally do.

Yeah, Quilt is supposed to be hardcore, he'd rather goof around. But he's supposed to be a badass so let's see what Jacob's hard work has created. Let's see Tim get eliminated with ease, since every other villain in this arc has been so far.

I'm not saying Quilt should be able to instantly destroy him, but should at least be able to at least hold his own.

I've said before that a body count is not the sign of a bold or daring writer, and I don't plan to go back on that statement. On the other hand, there is an element of danger now that wasn't around before, and it admittedly increases the tension of any given cliffhanger.

I know you didn't. Let's face it though, it'll happen. We've seen time and time again, some villain get's the lead up to be a pure unstoppable badass and someone defeats them easily, no DESTROYS them easily. And Tim has some of the biggest lead up since he has been an awesome villain.

I just love that the page that Mookie linked to of Greg megapunching TIM is like, two pages before TIM rips open his own face with his magic death claws.

Yet he was even momentarily blinded by blood in the eyes. Good times.

He has been shown either without eyes or destroying his own eyes without flinching in the past. A bit of blood probably wouldn't irritate his eyes.

There are certainly some weaknesses here, which have been pointed out. Nonetheless, I am by and large pretty happy with the direction the comic has gone in the past week. Brintu Hathe's extermination was perhaps still too quick, but that problem was alleviated by the reappearance of TIM. Assuming (and I realize the strong chance of making an ass out of me here) that he isn't defeated in the course of 3 or 4 comics, this could be pretty good.

Just stopped to think about it, but TIM has seriously been around for the entire comic as an antagonist. I mean he had a nice break in the middle when Miranda banished him to the Negative Dimension, but he's been pretty consistent, and he's never not dangerous.
