Shelly, I think someone very close to you will understand what happened that day, someone who is friends to a certain God of Alcohol? (Hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
I wonder if we will know what Shelly is talking about any time soon?

He, he, they look so cute in the last panel!

*reads Hannah's comment*
*goes back and looks*
*checks last panel too*

There are "breast men" and "leg men." I think I just realized I'm a "navel man." (I'm quite fond of the raspberry stunt, even if it's liable to get me a knee in the head or throat.)

Last panel: Awwwwwwww, cute. It's good to have a little sweet sugar to go with the Burgeoning Drama Of Sadness Pain And Horror. Dietz should get in on this, if he isn't hiding somewhere with his paws over his ears...

Nice to see Monica's new hips, they set off her midriff wonderfully!

Compare the third panel with the pre-op hips shown in the 'PayPal donate' image!!

I feel like this most of the time. By which I mean, I feel like I'm Monica in this situation. More than half my friends-and-associates seem to be in this eternal blue funk, assuming that I or no one else could possibly understand, even though I do, and they don't get that all that's needed is just to sing and dance like no one's looking. Especially when they are.

Just 'cause I'm happy doesn't mean I don't know what it's like to be sad.

I've found that a good cure for depression is a punch in the stomach. They get pretty pissed, but they ain't depressed for a bit. And, about today's comic. Awesome, with the ultra-contrast.

I bet you make a lot of friends that way, Norph.

Shelly's met Tepoz. I wonder why she's not remembering that.

'Cause Tepoz doesn't have anything to do with her pain. To her, he's just that convenient little guy who can make her favorite drink.

In other news...

...that propeller-beanie is a GREAT avatar, Ajax.
I am still in the thrall of one insatiable desire, which hitherto I have been neither able nor willing to check. I cannot get enough books. It may be that I have already more than I need, but it is with books as it is with other things: success in acquisition spurs the desire to get still more. Books, indeed, have a special charm. Gold, silver, gems, purple raiment, a house of marble, a well-tilled field, paintings, a steed with splendid trappings -- things such as these give but a silent and superficial pleasure. Books delight us through and through, they talk with us, they give us good counsel, they enter into a living and intimate companionship with us. What is more, not only does a book win the reader's affection for itself, but it mentions the names of other books, so that one stirs the desire for another. Francesco Petrarca (1346)

Apparently Monica's not the only one who's had a brush with the supernatural. Wonder if the dog in the picture has something to do with it?
