Why did I suddenly get a vision of a forest made out of furniture...
I think he means that images take up a lot of space, and most of the time needed to download the page (text takes much less). When you add new pictures at the end of a posting that already has a lot of images, users will have to download all the previous images first before they can get your new one - which is an unnecessary waste of resources, especially for people with a slow and/or expensive connection.B.T. That's why most people just put their pictures in their newest posts; this way only the newest page - and the pictures on it - will be loaded.
