[S.T.O.R.Y. 3/14/02] But what's the rest of their names?

OK, we know Amanda's first name but we don't know a thing about her last name, and we know what Dr. Germahn's last name is but we have no idea about his first name. Or is Germahn his first name?

Either way he did not answer this question to my satisfaction :grumble:

I nominate Albrecht for Dr. Germahn's first name. It's nice and Teutonic, and it's a bit like Albert.
The book is almost always better than the movie. You could have no better case in point than FROM HELL, Alan Moore's best graphic novel to date, brilliantly illustrated by Eddie Campbell. It's hard to describe just how much better the book is. It's like, "If the movie was an episode of Battlestar Galactica with a guest appearance by the Smurfs and everyone spoke Dutch, the graphic novel is Citizen Kane with added sex scenes and music by your favourite ten bands and everyone in the world you ever hated dies at the end." That's how much better it is. - Warren Ellis.

I can get completely behind that, but I also want his middle name to be Wolfgang.

Doktor Albrecht Wolfgang Sigismund Germahn it is!

What about Froederick . . . like Froederick Frahnkensteen? (spelling it phonetically, since the pronunciations needed require misspellings anyway)

Froederick can be his alias.

== Spring, 2006 ==

Chronos: So, is the fact that they already said their names what makes the question not a good one? Or would the question have been not good anyway?

== Oct, 2008 ==

Crystal: Does their saying their names in conversation like that seem contrived to anybody else? I know I never say someone's name when talking to them, except to get their attention.

Also, I think I mentioned this before, but if we assume his name was misspelled, Dr. Germahn apparently also showed up in the Giant Waffle movie.

Very contrived. But it's OK, because the gag depended on it, and it only happened once.
