Ow. I mean, OW! Come on now, she hit him so hard that she broke the head of her hammer and dropped him like a sack of concrete, and she was swingin' that thing so fast it made a BOOM!!! noise instead of a thwack. I don't care if the hammers are some weird kinda illusion thingy or not, that has just got to hurt.

Isn't it the whole point of the hammers to cause pain without inflicting any actual injury?

== Spring, 2006 ==

Chronos: I'd forgotten about the hammers. It's too bad they're just for comedy, it'd be cool seeing a fight where a girl used a comedically large hammer.

== Oct, 2008 ==

Crystal: And already, Dan shows his uneasiness with the hammers, even as he uses them again.

It is my theory that the BOOM! heard was actually Germahn's hair fairies high-tailing it out of the way so fast that they broke the sound barrier. As for the hammer, it's obviously a gingerbread hammer. Germahn stays down because he is lying on the floor and eating up the pieces.

Ooh! Food-based weaponry! So then Dr Germahn must also be eating up the gumdrops that were hidden inside the gingerbread hammer! Yum!

I miss hammers. I mean, it's not like the story has a lot of opportunities for that any more (folks seem to have learned their lessons around Sarah and Susan), but I do hope Dan manages to fit one in at some point.

Dan has said he doesn't like hammers any more; we aren't likely to see more of them, at least in the classic "guy does something offensive, girl hammers him" scenario.
