When the first reaction your best friend has to a girl being in your home is thinking she's either a fembot or kidnapped there's a problem. Of course, it may be a problem on the friend's side.

On a more fanboyish note: SQUEE! The first appearance of Jeremy! He's just so adorable :D

So much conclusion jumping.

Would a gynoid be a better term than fembot?

Well, technically speaking I think the terms are interchangeable, but with Tedd it's probably most accurate to use whatever term carries the most sex-purposed implication, and I think that's fembot.

This was the beginning of Elliot's "really suspicious" period, which seems to be over.

Since "fembot" gives me images of the female robots from Futurama (not the sexiest of robots), while the my earliest recollection of hearing "gynoid" in actual use was for prostitute robots in the GitS universe. So, Gynoid to me would be the one.

You're telling me you don't find the Crushinator sexy?

Long before the Austin Powers movies, fembots appeared in the Six Million Dollar Man / Bionic Woman 3-part crossover Kill Oscar (in 1976).

== Spring, 2006 ==

Chronos: "Creature nature never intended?" I wonder if Tedd made him.

So does this mean Tedd has built robots before? Hopefully he hasn't kidnapped people before...

== Oct, 2008 ==

Crystal: I think it would be cool to have a AU storyline where a Tedd who never met Grace built himself a robot girlfriend.

I think that somewhere in one of the fillers Dan said that Tedd or his dad found Jeremy somewhere...

ANfd that would be a cool alternate story... But I'd be sorry for Grace... I mean, what would she do if her Teddy had someone else?

Date Sarah. Aren't you reading the current strips?

Much sadder, it could also be a world without Grace. Such as the one the original Lord Tedd strips referred to, where Shade Tail is male and a huge hulking brawler-type due to being created from an entirely different human DNA donor.

That would depend on whether the “new girlfriend” was of a species (like h. Sapiens) whose relationships are strongly limited by jealousy. If it was a robot programmed without jealousy (or another Seyunolu) they could form a nice triad.

Or a specimen of H.Sapiens that doesn't have that problem.
