[S.T.O.R.Y. 2/22/02] Looking to get hammered.

Tedd made a comment he thought was enough to get hammered for, and is surprised he didn't get a whack on the head. So why did he make that comment in the first place? Is it just something he said and then regretted? Does he have a bad habit of inserting perverted comments in a conversation wherever possible, and really couldn't help it? Or is it possible that Tedd is somewhat of a masochist, and in a way actually enjoys having Sarah beat on him? That would mean that every time he's been punished for his perversion it's actually reinforced it, or at least one aspect of it. It also might make for an, um, interesting tangle in his being in a relationship with a girl who can't bring herself to hit a punching bag with a meanie face taped on.

And because enjoying the hammering is yet more perverted still, he'd be up for hammering again. :o
MARTIN: What?
DANIEL: Okay. One, that's Star Trek; and two, it's ridiculous.
MARTIN: What's wrong with it?
CARTER: "The singularity is about to explode?"
MARTIN: Yes.
CARTER: Everything about that statement is wrong.
DANIEL: How exactly is having weapons at maximum going to help the situation?
MARTIN: The audience isn't going to know the difference. They love: "weapons at maximum."
MITCHELL: Never underestimate your audience. They're generally sensitive, intelligent people who respond positively to quality entertainment.
TEAL’C: I do not understand why everything in this script must inevitably explode.
MARTIN: Look, you guys may all know how things really work out there in the galaxy, but I know the film business. Explosions make great trailers. Simple fact. More explosions, better trailer. Better trailer, more viewers.

I have discovered that Death Note + Lucky Star = awsome.

What do you mean she liked it?

I can definitely understand that. I used to do that back in high school. There was a girl whom, that was the nature of our friendship. I'd say something "offensive" (put in quotes to indicate it was calculated not to truly offend, but rather to trigger the role) and then she'd punch me in the shoulder. It was fun. Really, I was just trolling for attention.

Although, I must say I wouldn't have tried that with someone I'd just met. Clearly there was already something about Grace that suggested to Tedd that she was one of his people.

I think this kind of thing is why there's an NP headline "Hammers: Blunt Justice, or Excuse for Offensive Dialogue?". While it's not that typical of the general case, Dan seems drawn to that use of the hammers(despite also being repulsed by it).

ICly, he might've been speaking without thinking, or maybe taking the obscenely long shot.

Smooth, Tedd.

Have you never said something and only when you were finished realized what you said.

It doesn't happen very often to my but I know several people who should listen to what they say themself - preferably before they say it out loud.

P.S. Don't we have a hammer "smilie"?

Yes, but picturing Tedd looking to get hammered for perverted reasons is funnier.

And we totally need a hammer smiley.

Crystal: She wasn't joking, after all - just showing off that she does know a few things about the world. Also, the first panel takes on far greater meaning knowing her origin.

I dunno... I guess we could wait and see till the next time a hammering is warranted and somebody could test it out.

How about these: (a few quick looks from google)
Image Angry Hammering.
Image Not-so Angry Hammering.
Image Fight of Hammerings! (Although, would that make both of them both male and female at the same time in order to both hammer and be hammered?)
Image Hammering Off-screen Offender.
Image Self-hammering!

I am somewhat disproportionately amused by the not-so-angry hammering one. They way the left eye twitches a little tickles my laughing nerve.
