OK, building your attack body out of slightly flammable materials is an understandable mistake, and one that might not be avoidable in some circumstances. Building your attack body out of highly combustible/explosive materials is just boneheaded. Unless the goo was planing on self-destructing after completing the mission or trying to keep the possibility of a kamikaze attack open that was just a really stupid move on its part.

It was the just punishment it had earned for consuming steroids.

Actually I think I do recall a documentary about steroids titled "The Man Whose Arms Exploded", which featured in part, well, the story of a guy who used so many steroids the skin on his arms, well, exploded. Not all of it mind you, but there was definite rupture and bleeding. Kinda gross when you think about it.

My anti-drug is I don't want my arms to burst open :gonk:

Well, it had been continually changing, perhaps it was trying to develop the flamethrower thing at the time?

Chronos:

Ooh! Slimy! I like it.

Also, of course it blew up, Tedd - as a friend of mine once said (he was a kid at the time) - "Badguys always blow up when they die!" ...It's just too bad the explosion was so simply drawn - I love a beautiful explosion.

Slapping his forehead might not have been a good idea for Elliot, unless he likes slime like I do - now he's going to have some on his forehead as well.
