Well, the commentary for the first comic says that "now" is "June 21, 2008," so I'm going to go out on a limb and say "since June 21, 2008."

That's ridiculous! It's obviously January of 2002. Your sense is witchcraft like backgrounds!

Errr, maybe that Tedd guy also invents a time machine sometime in the future plotline so they can go back and insert commentaries from far in the future?

Well, the comic sucks, but that's obviously to be expected. I imagine I'll hang around and wait for a couple more.

Say, anyone see that new Lord of the Rings movie? Sure, the first one may have been good, but you just know Peter Jackson won't be able to hold up that same quality for the sequels. Sequels always suck.

And this website's too big to work on my dinky 33.6k modem. It took like a whole entire minute to load the comic.

I'm disappointed that both of the characters are male. Do you think the author could be persuaded to turn one of them into a girl?

Meh. OK movie but isn't it a bit off topic for these forums? I mean, it's not likely to come up in the comic even if you do get to see a lot of handsome elves in it.

I feel your pain. *sigh* I had the same problem until late last year where I finally got a fixed connection of 128K. It's silly fast, I get like 12kb a second now. Only now I need to upgrade my machine, a P233 just ain't cuttin' it anymore.

Edit:

Oh come on. Whoever would be interested in a webcomic with a TG theme?

Lest we forget: this comic does serve one important purpose - Elliot is firmly established as the Man In Black!

Btw, given that the comic (at least near the start) was one per day, it would be necessary to have one of these threads per day. Otherwise, these threads will fall further behind the current comic.

Also, it might be worth having more than 1 comic in each thread (or maybe more than 1 thread per day), so that the thread reaches the present faster.

Finally, most of the discussion that occurs in the threads about each comic is hypothesises about what is going to happen, so these threads may be shorter (in fact, even in this thread, that is what happened).

That explains how I gain ranks in Clerk. What about other classes?

Hm, good question. I may not be the best person to ask, I am comparatively new here. It's simply that the inherent awesomeness of the answer '42' in this case allows one to take a level in squirrel, which is not open for just anyone.

Oookay, guys. The "wow, I totally have never read this comic before, and it's totally 2002 or whatever!" joke is funny. I just hope it gets old.

Also, while I kind of prefer having one comic per thread, and maybe one thread every day or two, I'm not totally opposed to having a few comics per thread. Not too many, though.

I imagine we'll tire of it in the distant future, sometime around September of 2008. But that's years from now, so try not to get too bored with it in the meantime.

I think the sarcastic predictions are worse. "That's as likely as there being a squirrel girl!" Yeah, that isn't getting dull at all.
The book is almost always better than the movie. You could have no better case in point than FROM HELL, Alan Moore's best graphic novel to date, brilliantly illustrated by Eddie Campbell. It's hard to describe just how much better the book is. It's like, "If the movie was an episode of Battlestar Galactica with a guest appearance by the Smurfs and everyone spoke Dutch, the graphic novel is Citizen Kane with added sex scenes and music by your favourite ten bands and everyone in the world you ever hated dies at the end." That's how much better it is. - Warren Ellis.

Nobody ever told Picard that "Ye cannae change the laws of Physics!". They just DID it. - Vampiress Kat.
