Comforting to know that you're still among the "no life" group!

We have to attract more people.

Spolier: "From my point-of-view, the jedi are evil"

I laughed so loud...

My family is in town. My little sister likes my Chewbacca (sp?) impression.

Seriously, it's pretty good.

Why not? George Lucas, or whoever did the goddamned script, violated the principle of show don't tell. You can't just have the character say what they're feeling...."That makes me very angry!"

So that's the kind of shit you laugh really loud about?
That's sad.

Everyone says how bad the dialogue is. It's fucking Star Wars, guys. Why would you expect that shit from a space opera?

It's exactley the kind of shit that I expected, which is why I enjoyed the 'Nooooooooooo!!' so much. It was a blinder!

Seriously though, there's so much stuff in that movie to pick at. If you went in with the impression that 'this is going to be shit, wah wah wah' then chances are you'll come out and go to town on it. But if you accept that the whole series has pulled it's share of this kind of stuff and still retained enough enjoyability to keep millions of people happy with it, then it's easy to skip over the crap and enjoy the good.
Also, the CGI was awesome. I'd like to see anyone try and compete against that quality with models and puppets. Seriously! You'd fail, but it'd still be awesome to see =)

Yeah, I sorta meant the POV thing the same way as Psy meant about Darth Vader's "nooo." (It was so bad it was good) Sorry if my tone of voice was harsh.

I saw it on Saturday night. I thought it was a glorious movie.

As a female, I am of the opinion it was much easier to accept Anakin turning to the Dark Side after he became a deformed, charred, mess.

Because you didn't know that was going to happen before seeing it... ?

Also, VG Cats sums it all up beautifully. (Warnings, may contain slight amounts of spoilerage for those who haven't seen the movie)

I knew what was going to happen, I was just in a constant state of denial whilst he was moderately okay looking, that's all.

It's a superficial thing.

Spoiler warning, but who cares, really?

I can't believe Anakin lost his legs and arm from one swing of a lightsaber. I thought that it would be a one-by-one job. And why did Obi-Wan having the higher ground even matter?

Obi Wan is just that slick.
And I think the idea was that he could have killed Anakin if he wanted to, but he didn't. He stayed in denial to the end and tried to save him.
So maybe instead of cutting him in half, or cutting off his head, or what have you, he held himself back, got sloppy, got careless, but still had to defend himself.

Yeah, but he wasn't that slick at the beginning of the film. It was more like Obi-C3P0, bumbling about and generally being upstaged by Anakin.
