There really are a lot more, those are just some off the top of my head.

Can't say I listen to many of those guys. I saw Piebald a long time ago (3-4 years?) at a venue around here. At least, it might have been them. Probebly. The Ladies, though, lots of memories with them (your mom).

Also Rx-Bandits, Reel Big Fish, Spring-Heeled Jack, Less Than Jake, Suburban Legends, and honestly a lot more.

[Edit] wrote:I like RBF, Yarn, they rock. Also, I've been known to listen to Op Ivy, Incubus, Bikini Kill, They Might be Giants, Woodie Guthrie, Dylan, Wierd Al (!!!), Evergreen Terrace, Rasputina, VNV Nation, Sublime, and basically anything that comes on many, many radio stations. Also, I support a large amount of the garage bands that play in the Atlanta area. I think thats about it.

Also: Mad Caddies (as mentioned by someone...), The Taj Motel Trio.. and I also listen to a lot of classic rock like Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Motley Crue, Neil Young.. yea. That's all I'm gonna write for now. Too much work to think of any more.

I thought we got past the emo bashing a while ago?
Ah well, this needs to be bought to attention:
phantomdog wrote:its not there fault, that kind of music is what ppl are listining to now a days... listin around a bit, no one seems to care about slipknot or hate breed anymore, they want some emo bullshit that makes them cry in there rooms cuz mommy didnt love them enough to buy them a new car.

oh, and edit. that wasnt interesting at all

A) Ultimately it is their fault as they have the final say in what type of music they make. They could choose to cater to old-school fans, but they didn't. Realistically though, chances are the label behind them pushed them into changing to a more popular style, so it would have been a choice between possibly being dropped from their label to please a minority or just going with it, which is understandable if not unfortunate.

B) Slipknot and Hatebreed are the 'emo' varient of metal anyway, if you're trying to say that they're 'hardcore' or something then I disagree with that entirely.

C) Emo music has been around a lot longer than the Emo scene, yet people seem to lump them into the same fucking catagory and say it's all shit. There's nothing wrong with Emo music in general, it's just the people who act 'Emo' tend to be twats.

Oh! Trio! Alkaline Trio or something, I like them. Because of that song that was all like "This is getting over you", that was neat.

Something Corporate can get a bit whiny.

His voice gets annoying after a while.

I'm not saying I don't like them, Konstantine is so sad, I fell in love with it the minute I heard it. (Well, somewhere in the nine minutes that it goes for.)

I'm so sick of this conversation. 'Emo is crap' this, 'Emo-lovers are poseurs' that. I don't know how many times Psyonide has had to express his point, but it's a very good one of which everyone should take on board.

I like emo, I don't care what everyone says. It's fun to listen to. I don't take it all that seriously, but most of it's good listening.

Oh that reminds me, yesterday before our Shakespeare production, a friend of mine decided we should all take pictures of ourselves in emo poses, it was the funniest thing ever. I guess it was one of those 'you had to be there' things.

I got the new Beck album today. It's good.

I hate the guy who went to high school with me who paints tears on his eyes, spikes up his hair, wears makeup and torn up (all black) clothes and has piercings, and then goes home and listens to some Blink 182 or ASP, or other pop bands about being in love, and not being able to go out and participate in underage drinking with your friends because your mom grounded you.

Man, I'm way off today. "you should be the only one" is what I meant. I don't even know what that jumble up there is.

Anyway, you win. Class.
