I'm replying to this to make Antoine's Antoine's-topic-must-be-on-top tic kick in.

Also I was going for Lagrangean.

Incidentally, are you hanging from the rigging of a tall ship in today's Doodle? 'Cause your feet look kind of non-dangly and it's visually confusing.

Was that all the Thumblies we're going to get? 'Cause I really liked those. That was a really brilliant little riff going on there.

Yes, he's high in the rigging. How should his feet look? And is that the worst thing you can say about the artwork?

I liked the Thummly's, but your comment is the first positive comment I've gotten on it. My newsbox about the Thummly's last week was one of my worst newsboxes ever.

I posted not one, but two, positive comments about the Thummlys. But I guess you only count the opinions of your web comic geek friends.

Oops. I'm sorry.

I guess the terrible newsbox response, and the e-mail I got from someone who thought the Thummly's were seriously a permanent replacement, and honestly, the fact that you post about some doodle being good then calling me a jerk so often that I forgot about those.

You don't have a verb in that last sentence.

Also, Burke liked the Thummly's.

How come you talk about yourself in the third person?

I found your foot position confusing because your muu-muu hem is horizontal and it looks like you're standing on a level surface, and then I wondered what that thing was behind you and why the rope is going down through the floor, and then I figured it all out. I suppose if your muu-muu was less horizontal across the bottom and your feet weren't vertically aligned, it might be more understandable. But you're the expert.

There are probably more critical comments I could make, but I'm only affecting a worldly elan, not actually being negative.

Oops, my bad, it was Antoine who posted that. Antoine, Burke, Carcajou, Delilah, whoever, all these people are so confusing.

Seriously -- I liked them, but I've liked all this stuff you're doing lately, so I didn't comment on it explicitly. But you know I'm a sucker for anything with a whiff of meta. You go, grrl.

Not unless you can get an awful lot of your archives onto it. There's such a thing as required context, you know.

My uncle was in Korea, too. And my wife's father. At the same time, it turns out. But not on the same side....

Probably. My uncle knew everybody. I'm guessing that Bob probably wasn't in North Korea, so my wife's father probably never met him.

I haven't been around in ages, consumed by moving back to Syracuse again and worrie and Muppet Wiki, but I'm impressed by the fact that BoxJam has a Way Out as his user pic. I suppose this means that Boxer's torso is a collection of discs vaguely linke together by a spine.

Holy cow you're impressive. It is indeed a Way Out. In my mind, he's the one voiced by Dawes Butler.

That's where the fun is! Way Out!

Seriously, the whole plot is about Fred and the band being mistaken for aliens, but the Way Outs are *built* like aliens. Pretty much the only time "The Flintstones" did anything so off-beat in design and movement of their human figures.
