BoxJam's ad network is one of those that detects where you are. It keeps enthusing to me that I can learn English in just days.

Today it says I can get a green card. I'm thinking maybe whoever designed it is unclear on the concept of Puerto Rico already being part of the United States.

well, clearly it isn't part of the united states - you can't drive a recreational vehicle to puerto rico. if you can't drive there, it can't be part of us.

I heard a rumor that bup is buried under a certain trolley car in Louisville. Hydro is taking an expedition down there this weekend on a fact-finding mission, and to have some Ollieburgers.

he'll give us an expedition report, i trust?

at least a count on the ollieburgers.

.....i have been looking at this for ...well, seconds, at least.

i am starting to believe i must have inadvertently consumed some sort of drug - it seems to have some inner meaning, or essence, or message, completely disconnected from its surface incoherency.

i think i shall spend the rest of the afternoon meditating on this.

Need a title.

I'm pretty sure that BoxJam has been updating all along, but with identical comics. I've been trying to compare pixels from day to day, because I'm pretty sure that's what he's doing.

The voices told me so.[/i]

See that ligature between the P and L of "people" in the third panel-thingy? That's new. He added that three days ago.

No, no. He's changed it back now.

Alas, poor BoxJam. I knew him, Hydro. A man of infinite jest, and a real jerk.

infinite jest?
doesn't jive with the decided lack of new doodles.
his jerkiness quotient remains, however, unchallenged.

well, the current doodle seems poised to remain for an infinite time.....

but "jestful"?

i had a dream last night that there was a new doodle. alas, it was only a dream, but it didn't really matter, the dream doodle was pretty lame.

I saw bup last week, and he said he's not doing any more Doodles until you pay me that dollar you owe me.

He also said you were a jerk.

Maybe the fact that the last Doodle was about comic reading was a hint that a code lay within. Perhaps in all the places mentioned (except Milwaukee) there can be found a clue which, when assembled with its counterparts, will lead us to the location of the next Doodle.

i just realized - this forum did not get moved to the "dear departed comics" section in the forum update.

so the keen people know that boxjam is still out there, somewhere, and may yet produce another doodle.

there's another slogan, out there, for someone who is believed by the authorities to be dead, but the ordinary people know he's still out there, somewhere, fighting The Man, and that's the one i wanted to use except i don't remember it.

it's really disturbing to find that "tiny" is now "size=50". how can 50 be tiny?

From the creation of broken links on the sites of some other webcomics on hiatus (there were more at first, but I'm currently only aware of Look What I Brought Home), it seems that everybody had to change their message board link when the Keenspot boards were updated. So Boxjam may even be tending to the site in minute fashion, as comatose as he otherwise is.
