I'm a nature over nurture guy. Maybe its ceasing to be a successful reproductive strategy won't mean it goes away, but I'm saying there's no way it'll go away while it is. And I'm not arguing it's a conscious thing.

I believe there's nothing close to a 'rape gene' being known because studies on whether criminal tendencies are hereditary never get funding.

And I'm still alive. But who knows - maybe by the next time you read that one, I will be dead.

I can't help but see your avatar as Fred Bonaparte...

OK, so does anybody know what the avatar is?

Never mind. Lord Emsworth does.

Lord Emsworth sees all and knows all, except when not to eat chili.

And I can't quite get over the second panel in today's strip. Uncle Sam and John Bull joined by a freakish Canadian being with antlers and a maple-leaf shirt. Captain Canuck?

Of course, I can't recall the last time a Canadian prime minister or anything was caricatured.

The Russians had the bear, but do/did the French have any kind of national iconic figure, outside of all those drawings of DeGaulle? Maybe DeGaulle *is* France's Uncle Sam. I got a kick out of his near random inclusion in "The Triplettes of Belleville."

Oh, and my Christmas cookies have never been blood red. Although now you've given me the idea of a gingerbread King Herod ordering the execution of all Hebrew males, represented by gumdrops.

And Canada's antlers caused me to overlook Mexico. What's he holding, a can of beans?

Bag of Fritos.

Coincidentally, I had Fritos and chili for supper last night. Must be the half-Mexican part of me.

I thought your avatar looks vaguely Hanna-Barberraish. Member of a rock band from the Jetsons or Flintstones?

BTW, how are all of you celebrating the 20th anniversary next year of the Jetsons meet the Flintstones? ... lintstones

A day that will live in infamy:

"SNL" Drops Sanz, Parnell, Mitchell

Is there no God? If there is did he need to sacrifice Parnell so that Sanz and Mitchell could be axed, too?

Thanks, Antoine.

I like Chris Parnell, but he's gotten less funny over the years. I prefer MadTV or Svengoolie when I'm home watching tv alone on a Saturday night.*

which is every Saturday night

In improv we had a "Natural Disaster Game" in which the audience supplied some sort of natural disaster. When we wanted the scene to end the natural disaster occurred.

"If only we could find Thomas Edison's original paperclip... Oh my God, an earthquake!"

Giant spider?!?

Also, Marmaduke explained:

I'm awake and at work. Of course, that means I'm about four feet from my bed, so all bets are off.

Dear hydro,

You may not want to read tomorrow's doodle. Instead, you might consider the various fruit spreads that work in a gestalt way to make an English muffin a heavenly experience.

your pal, etc.
