Hey, forget the audience providing th' words. I'd like more English->Russian->English doodles.

Quick question: Is BoxJamina panning for gold? --This will help me with my submission.

Bite your tongue! The audience providing words is a crucial - vital! part of the [strike]scam[/strike] art!

Oh, and BoxJamina is playing with a boat. Although she could be panning for gold.

Three phrases to be included in the next Doodle:

1. Hydro is a jerk.
2. Vai Sikahema
3. Hydro really is a jerk.

you're just jealous because he stole your babelfish idea.

which, you gotta admit, is pretty funny. i think all reader submissions should be run through babelfish before use in the doodle.

Well, some people have already sent in scripts, SO THAT WOULDN'T BE FAIR - it'd be what those in the biz call the OLD SWITCH-EROO.

But if you want to send one in, and have a mindless computer translate it,

I'LL DO IT.

Damned straight I'm jealous. BoxJam is the Man. Someday, Bup, you'll be the first one with your back against the wall for your heartless corporatist exploitation of the intellectual commons.

We all know it, but I'm the only one with the gumption to say it.

Scott McCloud on webcomics and stuff:

Damn, McCloud is full of it. "I'm going to channel the trends, but Web comics are the big wildcard, nobody knows what's going to happen, but whatever it is, remember I predicted it was going to be surprising." Jesus.

WN: A decade ago, comics were for adults.
McC: Well, all the kids from the 80's grew up and we lost the kids. Yadda yadda demographical bullshit.

Kids can't fricking afford a $15 comic book. At least I couldn't. I loved comic books, sponged off whatever friends I could to find them. But pay actual money? Shit, I didn't have any. What I did have went to feed the paperback science fiction beast -- let's see, I can pay $3 to be entertained for three days, or $15 to be entertained for an hour, at best. Sure, let's pony up for the hour, what the hell.

So duh. Why do I like Web comics? They're fricking free of charge. Now where is my Wired interviewer?

OK, I return you to your regularly scheduled ... whatever this place is, Box Sam's Thumboodle or whatever.

I agree. He's positioned himself as comic trend master, though.

I don't get any credit for the stuff I predicted in early 2001 at the Keenvention.

I predicted Hydro would flee to Kentucky rather than pick up the check for lunch, and you don't hear me whining about not getting credit.

I am whining about it, you just can't hear me.

It's true. I won three bucks at the track last week and Hydro sent me a check for a quarter.

Congratulations, BoxJam, on passing 10,000 views on this, the greatest of all Internet Message Board Threads.

Love the Thummlies. They are so dramatic and non-continuous.

well, it's good you amuse someone.

personally, i am disturbed. i get just a _little_ busy, and i come back and there is a distinct lack of blueness, and strange people on the front page, and boxjam's av has turned into some odd little distinctly non-blue person.

with hair.

i feel my world crumbling about me.

A little busy? How long do you disappear when you're really busy?
