I did not know Ms. BJ plays the accordian. Can she play Lady of Spain? It's always been one of my favorites.

BoxJam looks suspiciously like Flat Stanley in the first panel on which he's laying on the bed.

There's a pretty interesting article about "Ruben Bolling" in Salon.

http://www.salon.com/books/int/2005/01/ ... index.html (registration or ad-watching req'd)

Like me, he's got a day job. He's also published cartoons in jillions of newspapers and made books. So there the comparison ends.

Um... So why is it that Boxjam suddenly hates Gluemeat again? Didn't he used to LIKE Gluemeat? What's the deal here?

Based on the current theme, I expect to see Neil Cray make a triumphant return in the Doodle some time soon.

I like the grave-robbing joke as much anybody, but a new Doodle would be nice ....

Neil Cray plays an awesome blues guitar.

And when the hell did I become a KeenSpotter Supreme? (some sort of comment about being the feature singer.)

I'm sorry, I don't have a dollar. Some oversized jerk took it from me.

bup:

Several comments about the last couple of Doodles:

1. Your vocabulary is excellent these days! Must be all the grave-robbing you're doing on the side.

2. I'm very impressed by the animation in the last panel. This is the most impressive skill advancement I've seen since Hydro learned how to chew gum and walk at the same time.

3. What the hell is going on? Is this some webcomic author/geek inside joke?

Sincerely,

Antoine

1. I used "anthropomorphizations" early in the life of the doodle.

2. The last doodle you complained about also had animation.

3. "Webcomic author" and "geek," it goes without saying, are mutually exclusive terms.

4. I'm now convinced that you are the only person who's reading the doodle.

In Hydro's defense, he is a little preoccupied with the advancement of Birnham Wood, so he prolly hasn't had time to read the Doodle.

Any publicity is good publicity.

You know, Boxjam, for someone who hates Gluemeat, and I would assume wants the comic to disappear, you sure are giving them a lot of publicity. Especially putting Case

Harrumph. Some of us have been reading, M. BoxJam, but have also been suffering from illness, fatigue, or been preoccupied with hoe to properly recreate a Gluemeat murdering BoxJam, with victims, in balloon form.

I confess, at first the sudden Gluemeat attack surprised me, but it's turned into the webcomic equivalent of the Jack Benny/Fred Allen feud. In fact, I was shocked that today featured only a bit of satire on the law and "wacky legal" books/TV segments, apart from the top link. The Gluemeat ad on Comixpedia (mentioning Hitler and Kim Jong) was a brilliant riposte to "BoxJam Is Evil" (which I confess to being mildly amused at). I keep hoping Lee Herold will come back to life long enough to respond.

So you were the guy who saw that ad. It was in rotation, I think, for about 43 seconds.

Too bad it's not illegal in Chicago for a big jerk to keep two guys waiting on a freezing street corner for 45 minutes.
