Anyway, back on topic;
You know, this nightclub in my hometown used to give out Q-jumper cards to club members so they could skip lines when they went to the bar. It was tickets only, so anyone without a ticket got turfed.
A ticket allowed you pay on the door to get in, but the tickets themselves were free. To get a ticket you'd have to find one of the promotional peeps who would typically be handing them out near the college (but it wasn't a college bar, it was a proper nightclub).
Paying at the door was also the only way to become a member, which would give you line cutting rights if you had your card. Becoming a member was automatic the first time you went, and you'd get a member card from the girl on the comp at the door.
Thing is, once you got a free ticket to pay on the door to become a member to get in and went to skip the queue to get drinks, you'd find that everyone had got a free ticket so they could pay on the door to become a member and get a card so that they could skip the queue too. This, as you'd imagine, caused a long line of queue jumpers waiting at the bar to get served, thus making all of the effort to get a ticket to pay on the door to become a member to get a card so you could cut the line absolutly pointless.
This place closed down recently, I think the above mess had something to do with in.
