Joyce Plushie! Your thoughts needed.

Postby Walky on Sat Feb 14, 2004 7:04 pm

After some months of back-and-forth prototyping, I can finally show her off! Yes, Joyce in plush form! Now, she hasn't been absolutely approved yet, and that's why I need some outside feedback. If she needs more changes, we can do another round of prototyping to finish her up.

Tell me what you think!

(Note: This was the Other Project I was speaking of in the T-shirt thread.)

I don't think any of the characters, with the possible exception of the Aliens, could survive being plushied.

Me likey.

And now for the improvement ideas:
More hair, more face, less eyes and smile. She really needs to have some face between the eyes and the mouth.

Of course, you'll have to make an Anti-Joyce plushie, too :p

As soon as that thing's goes on the market, I'm getting one!! I promised myself no more plushies since the basket is overflowing, but...WHAT?! Stop staring at me like that!! Geez! Some people I swear! Anyways, it's something good to huggle in comfort as Walky storms away from Joyce, yet again!! Also, I've just wanted to give Joyce a big hug since she first appeared!! She just seemed sooooo huggable! It's like some sort of irresistable urge or something! Anyways, get those out on the market as soon as you can so I can start buying them!!

That's pretty cool. Should sell like hot cakes.

I'd buy her either way, but I too would like a bit more hair on 'er. ^^ So, will we get a Robin plushie too? ^_~

David mentioned over on Nightstar that he has forwarded on the suggestions and is now waiting for a new prototype.

I'm sure my belated advice will be appreciated by all.

The clothes look like they're sewn on. That should be rectified... for people who like making new clothes for games of dressup, of course.

She also needs a jetpack, but for purposes of pure altruism it should be sold separately. Finally, I don't know if it's just me but that nose just looks weird.

She's got the jetpack, man. It's her vest.

Egad, I never even noticed that it worked like that. I did wonder how she seemed to be able to pull it out of nowhere though.

Now I also understand why nobody else gets one. They only come in her size, and it would be unfashionable to be caught wearing the same vest anyway.

I know it's late, but what the heck.

I think her grin should be slightly more triangular.

Anti-Joyce would have to be inflatable.

Even later-still:

Joyce has boobs...;)

How about an Anti-Joyce option underneath Joyce's regular apparel?

"Triangle Smile" or something to that effect, is what she was referred-to in a strip you authored some time ago (Sorry, too lazy to dig it up). I'd suggest making her smile a bit more triangular...kind of like this: Image

Edit: Lastly, the side profile pic kind of made me think that she could use a nose.

I would like action fugures rather than plushies but that would be more expensive wouldn't it?

P.S. Plushie Alians!

If any of you bought one of these and were disturbed by the assless chaps thing, you can go to somewhere like Target or Wal-Mart and buy a clothing pack for Bratz Boys - the Joyce doll will the the jeans and even the shirts. She might fit the Bratz girl shirts as well, but there's no way she'll fit the girl pants (and her legs are sewn blue, so she would look damned silly in a dress or skirt, unfortunately).

She is, I might add, huggable.
