This is officially unofficial at the moment, but since Elfwood's discussion boards have been closed up this weekend, I have offered to host an alternative forum here at Elf Life.
I'm hoping it's going to be OK with Thomas and the rest of the Elfwood head honchos. I'd like to provide a useful place for Elfwood artists to post information and discussion. Until I hear from them, though, this is an unauthorized board.
Since it's meant as a general forum, most Elfwood-related topics are OK, as long as all new posts bear appropriate subject lines.
-----

Heh, I wanted to contact you about making a new board but you made one already >
Honestly I think this place could be a lot nicer (to read, follow, participate in, etc) than the old boards...
I think though, that there should be several forums, like general discussion, c&c, art help, plus, common projects and things like that. If it's approved and all I mean.
Just suggestions. Sorry if this sounds weird, I'm just enthusiastic.

And why "most" Elfwood-related topics {well, I believe the ones purely aimed at deconstruction do not need to be mentioned, but that is just me}.
------------------

Hi Quinch!
By "appropriate subject lines", I just mean that if anybody wants to plug their gallery, for example, "Vist my gallery" would be a good subject line... and that's because this forum, at least for now, isn't going to be split up into different categories like the Elfwood discussion boards. Elfwood had separate discussion boards for the site, plugging, making art, etc...
Genn's right, that would be nice (hi genn!), but it's too early for that... let's see if the one board works out.
Besides, having something like a separate board for plugging actually lessens the chance that anybody will actually see it. I don't see a problem with a board that looks like this:
(topics)
- new Elfwood feature
- visit Icefrost's gallery
- problems with acrylic paint
As long as the subject lines are relatively clear, everybody's happy! And unlike the old Elfwood discussion boards, you don't have to click separately to see every single post in any given thread.
I don't mean to imply, however, that people are gonna get whacked for bad subject lines.
And "most" Elfwood topics... that's right, deconstructive ones should be discouraged. Posts like "Elfwood and all its members suck" will probably be deleted; death threats and other troll-like behavior most certainly will. Naughty munchkins may even have their IP addresses banned for a while.
