Charging....... CLEAR!! ZZTZTZTTZZT!!

Postby Milligan on Tue Feb 01, 2005 9:09 am

Okay this forum needs some life shocked back into it!

I know you're reading, I can see the views going up. Post something. A recipe. Directions to your Aunt Myrna's house. Anything!

Movie Trivia!

Keeping with the medical theme...

"Clamp. Sponge. Metzenbaum scissors. Get that cat outta here!"

Name the movie... Leave your own!

Umm, Singin' in the Rain?

No, wait. Uh, Shaft?

That's not it. Hmmm.. Abbott and Costello meet the Killer, Madison Knox?

Nah, that was never released. Hang on, it'll come to me.

I got it. It's a Wonderful Knife (the calicocolorized version).

No?

Does anyone have a TV I can borrow?

New guy posting... (been watching for way over a year.)

Had to reply to "...Metzenbaum scissors..."

Could it possibly be "M.A.S.H.?" (The original with Elliot Gould & Donald Sutherland?)

Just a guess...

Try this one from the best movie ever made: "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries." There actually was a "medical scene" involving one of the participants, so I guess it qualifies.

Ahh, so there ARE still Python fans in the world. I wondered why SPAMALOT was coming to Broadway this year.

But that still doesn't explain where the original quote is from. Mik! Johnski! To the rescue, please!

Matt's original quote is from The Man With Two Brains (a funny Steve Martin movie).

A-Dad: check out the poems of John Lillison, "England's Greatest One-Armed Poet" at the bottom of that link!

peace-
miK.

p.s. I'll throw in a new quote for y'all to guess:

"Do you even know who Graham Greene is?"
"I think we've all seen Bonanza."

I can answer this one, but only because I'm a good Googler(tm); I don't feel right posting something I trawled up. I had no idea what this came from. Didn't recognize the movie poster. Don't remember any promos. In fact, I only recognized one name in the IMDb cast list of the movie. But then again, if it isn't Nick Jr. or The Aristocats, or starring Gene Kelly, odds are you're gonna stump me.

You know, I was serious about that TV. Preferably with one of those Newfangled movie-watchin' thingies? Alphamax? Gammamax? Something like that.

Here're a couple lines from one of MY favorite movies that is recent enough for you youngun's to get. (Aside to Mrs. AccordionDad: Too suspenseful? THEY GET HOME!!!!!:

"Yeah, Okay. But now I'm asking you. When will we know?"
"Blackout lasts for three minutes. If they're not back in four, we'll know."

By the way, is the AccordionDad family the only household that neither watched the Oscars nor saw any of the movies that received awards this year?

AccordianDad, you are not alone. I didn't watch the Oscars, and I have no idea who won what but there's a good chance I didn't see any of those movies either. No, wait, there's a category for Animated Films, isn't there? I probably saw that one.

"The Incredibles" won for best animated film. It was up against "Shark Tale" and "Shrek 2".
I have only seen parts of "Incredibles" it but it is really good. Comes out on DVD March 15th -
can't wait!

I got the Incredibles the day after it came out. Great movie.

The Easter Eggs are entertaining as well, especially if you like sock puppets...

Incidentally, what breed of dog is Max supposed to be?

Seriously, IMO a movie would work.

It wasn't a chart topper, but Garfield was a solid performer. I took my kids and we all enjoyed it. A Lost & Found movie done in the style of the Garfield movie would be good too. I wonder whether studios are interested in requests from fans. Who would you contact?

100% mutt.

If I had to guess, I'd say a mix of labrador, dalmatian (spots bred out somehow), maybe beagle in there somewhere.

I just kinda designed him. I didn't make him a specific breed.

It's possible I did it subconsciously because I feel strongly about adopting from shelters. I can't see myself spending $300, $500, $700 for a purebreed when so many great dogs are put down at shelters every day.
