"The best comic strip you're not reading"?

Private Eye Frank Chase and his partner/dog Max are on the case!

Hey, I must protest. I do read L+F on a regular basis.
A few months ago, when I should have been busy writing my master thesis, I found out that reading webcomics was a great way to avoid working. That's how I got hooked, starting with Melonpool. From there, I got to several other comics and by now, I have read the full archives of Avalon, Walky, Melonpool, L+F, MacHall and several others. Today I have a list of comic bookmarks that I go read every morning at the office. It's fun. :-) (Oh yeah, I just got my master's degree certificate yesterday, so webcomics didn't destroy my career.)
I enjoy L+F a lot. The art is great, the stories interesting.
The *one* thing I don't like are the "sleeping dog" strips - I generally prefer comic strips that *don't* work text-only, where the image adds something to the joke.
But enough from me. Keep up the good work, Matt, and the best of health for you.

I actually agree with the ad. I'm a regular reader of L+F, and I think it's a fantastic strip. The stories are great, the art is fantastic! It is visually eye-popping and loverly.
So the question remains... why aren't people reading it??
------------------

Apparently, I read the strip but not the ads. What did I miss?
And who's not reading? I want names and numnbers. I'll straighten them out.
------------------

Wow, thanks, people!
Of course the ad isn't aimed at my wonderful, intelligent and good-looking regular readers. It's for folks who maybe checked out the strip once or twice and just don't check back consistently.
Also, because I work "clean" and have talking animals, I think a lot of folks think L&F is a "kiddie" strip, and it's really not.
Thanks again!

From Oct 3-5 I get what turns out to be the final "Default" banner slot. When you view any Keenspot comic page, if there's no paid ad to fill the slots at the top and bottom of the page, my ad banner appears there. It looks like this:

It appears in the bottom slot more often. It usually garners us over 10x the normal number of pageviews on days it runs.

But the big Keenhunas are doing away with the practice. I'm getting the last turn. I suppose they'll use it for promotion of Keenspot Premium, Comic books and Keentoys... Eep!
