I have done it. I made a short expedition over to Sinfest. Tomorrow, I shall venture over to CRFH. *Slowly, Slowly, making progress.

I feel strangely- Janus-faced.
On the one hand.. I never said a negative word about TBC in this thread that I recall? Hrm. (I should go look, refresh my memory.)
On the other hand, I am one, just for different reasons. I'm a total, complete (something-or-other, just a bit too polite to say it myself, some other word with no complimentary innuendo (sp?) attached...)
By the way, Mr. Milligan, very funny Sunday comic!

*sigh* Look. You hadn't posted here, and I felt no need to go slinging names about without consideration for the feelings of others. I mean, do like it when people go into long, in-depth essay-type speechs about people you've never heard of, let alone know well? And don't answer that, ya smart-alecs!
Fine. You want comparisons? Here you go.
TheBlackCupid: A dark shadow, proceedding a weight dropped from the heavens, liable to kill you, if you're not quick on your feet and with your wit.
Tchernobyl: A force to be reckoned with, much like the famous place of his namesake and it's brief flash in the pan of history.
Maritza: The head, the leader, the one true ruler of the war machine, the beast, the endless legions of followers of CRFH!!! To even -imply- imperfection of her, is to summon a brutal death at the hands of her followers. And to actually offend her? None have lived long enough to do so.
There. Any other despots who'd like to be compared to ungodly creatures, never meant to walk on God's green earth, or to expose their madness-inducing faces to the sun's holy rays? HmmMMM!?!?
~~~~
Oh, and I seem to go insane at random intervals. Sorry if I scared you, bride2k.
The Moose King: Despite having logged under 100 posts on the boards, he is often able to stand as an equal with these ponderous creatures by means of his quick wit and agile imagination. A sort of "Jack the Giant killer" figure...
No?...
Well, ignore me then.
------------------
*glares at Gwalla and Maboo* I GOT YOU ALREADY! Maboo! You were the second! And Gwalla! I said you were like dark matter! You know, small and heavy? *sigh* Whatever.
LostJonny, I thank you for pointing out those others to me. But do they themselveswant to be compared, or are you just demonstrating a knowledge of Despots? I also haven't been around the Avalon forum enough to form an opinion. I mean, I've only posted about five times, there. I'll also assume you meant to say fauna. Could be wrong though.
And very clever, bride2k! Using your spouse to insure safety of conduct, at least to a degree.
*mindless babble to fill up space, due to lack of interesting material*
...And so, I know that I should always say thank you. Good night, and keep watching the skies.
Being left in the wilderness at a very young age, and raised by the Moose of Central Mozambique, I was offered the Moose Kingship but declined it. (I wasn't really into the whole Moosese lifestyle) So I headed toward my dream . . . Skittlerunts, Nebraska. Where they know you're an outsider, there's one restaurant. and the inbreeding is law.
I'm happy to see someone is scraping up the loose ends of my past Mountain Moose upbringing. All praise the Moose King, and his Moosedom.
And always remember . . . those dudes with the bright orange pants and vests are going to shoot you. So Hide!!
Oh . . . and good strip on the 25th
CRO has yet to be mentioned, the newest Despot, nor the current ranking Despot, EteRock.
Good strip, BTW. I approve.
When listing the characteristics of the various fora, you neglegted to mention the elegant erotica of the Avalon boardees.
-----------------
Potentially, they have rather a bit of control, though not control without consequences. Editing posts, deleting posts, deleting threads, locking threads, etc. But all with consequences.
Most moderators have chosen to do so prudently, to my knowledge. There may even have been times when I have perhaps wished subcutaneously (do not take that adverb literally, please) for a bit more intervention, but I'm aware at some level of the factors that need to be balanced...
