Like I said, i won't be putting pictures up here. Instead, I'll link to them: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/10281392/
Read the description there. That's pretty much how I'm going about my new fan comic of TCM! :D
*EDIT* and BTW, I will be posting the rest of the strips here as soon as I get them up. ;) Please leave feedback, it's greatly appreciated!

You're a very good artist and I rather like your unique style (and your anatomy of muscles is VERY good), but you need to pay more attention to characters' heights - you made Dani as tall as Damon, and Cal should be a few inches shorter than Mikey.

Speaking of Cal, I wonder if anyone else spit out their coffee the same time I did.

As flattered as I am that you featured Caleb Sherman in your comic, your description is incorrect: Cal and Mikey never hooked up in the comic. In fact, Cal never even appeared in The Class Menagerie...a suspiciously similar wolf did appear in one panel, but if that was Cal, his actions in the strip cancelled out the events of the fanfic (he missed, in other words). Yes, that makes a big difference: since Cal was never in the comic, this makes him sole intellectual property of the author of Something REALLY Unexpected, Matt Wolf. As you may have guessed, that would be me.

Cal WAS featured in a dozen or so other fanfics, but the author(s) of each obtained permission beforehand and listed copyright information inside the work. There should be acknowledgement on your webpage that Cal was created by, and belongs to, Matt Wolf, not Vince Suzukawa. Technically, you should have copyright information for both Vince and myself on each image.

Thank you for reading.

oh yeah, sorry about that little mistake about Cal. :D let me go and correct that on my site right away.

true true, i know that i drew the characters without considering height at all because, basically, i didn't have a concrete visual on how tall everyone is from each other. if i actually planned out my comic as well as i wanted to, i bet it would've turned out better than it is right now. i'm not that great an artist, anyways!

but yeah, even though i assumed that wolf on the last strip of 'Duet to Me' was Cal and that Vince did draw Mikey and Cal on the same picture on his yerf.com site, he's still your character. Gotta give credit to whom it's due, right? 8)

Fancomics! :D

I like the way it's drawn so far. The story is cute, but it does, to be completely honest, feel a tiny bit contrived - I think that's the word I'm looking for - but I'm not entirely sure why, and I've never scripted comics before, so perhaps I simply wouldn't know...

Anyway, keep going with it, because a story tends to get better once it's in motion. Development is always nice. :P

Well, I'm not sure about convoluted - I think I can follow the storyline alright, I personally don't see a problem with the organization - I think definition 1a hits a little closer to home, where everything seems like it's following a plan we've all seen before, in some sense. Perhaps it lacks some subtlety. It just FEELS like I've seen this storyline before, somehow...

Solo: an interesting story, and I do like the art - you manage to be on-model while retaining your own style; a few of the poses I particularly liked.

As far as fanfics go, I have to say it's a pretty mild and innocuous form of Mary-Sueism, certainly one with the best of feelings behind it. I think, though, that one of the bigger hurdles in appreciating it is how often characters react out of character, despite the rushed storyline. But as this is the most difficult thing to do (and is one reason we praise that Monster of All Fanfics, LSNBT - he manages to consistently keep people in character while introducing new situations), I'm not one to cast stones. A fairly good effort, and I certainly encourage you to continue!

Oh, I agree with you wholeheartedly. It truly is difficult to keep character personalities consistent throughout a storyline, and I did have a few problems here and there in my own strip (such as, say, when Tony told Kensuke about how they were thinking about kidnapping him). That's just not Tony, now that I think about it.
But hey, I'm happy now that I'm going to be doing another set of fan comics, completely devoid of any strip number constraints! That means I can make sure I keep the personalities intact while bringing out a more coherent storyline.
It's always about improvement, anyways. ;)
