Aspiring model, actress, and star of her own comic strip, it's Tiffany Tiger!

*still laughing several minutes after reading* Great one, Gneech, very, very much entertaining, especially the facial expressions. I can almost feel the weight of the awkwardness of that moment, and I can definitely relate to the situation. Congrats on the Iron Artist thing, I have no doubt you more than earned it!

'sbeen a while since I been here.

Thought I'd poke my nose in again and say hi.

"Hi"

Comic is finally back on plot (not that I can say much for myself, with my comic missing strips every now and then due to my severe lack of time for drawing. Curse work) and I'm eager to see exactly how Tiff plans to pull this caper off...

Also interested to see the lead singer of Litho's Magnificent Donkey... if he turns up at all.

Anyway, it grows late and I have to wake up early to get to work on time. ... ... again. This keeps happening... I wish I had another 10 hours in the day to make up for all the time I spend at work. :P

I liked today's comic too, although the newsbox item was my favorite. :D

Thanks! :) For some reason, the newsbox hasn't propigated across all the Keenspot servers; for those who are collecting SJ newsboxes, you can see it here:

Nobody expects the Athenian Inquisition! :o

Her chief weapon is Surprise! Surpise and Fashion!

Fashion and surprise.... her two weapons are fashion and surprise...and ruthless claws.... Her *three* weapons are fashion surprise, and ruthless claws...and an almost fanatical devotion to Gregory.... Her *four*...no... *Amongst* her weapons.... Amongst her weaponry...are such elements as fashion, surprise.... I'll come in again.

Loved it as usual. I was looking back at the past comics that have reference to her and I think... This might go also with the "The Surburban Jungle TV topic"... But I think her perfect voice would be Kate Mulgrew. Athena just gives that aura...

I dunno if Tiffany has the ability to out-negotiate Athena. We'll have to see how well this turns out (or doesn't as the case may be).

That may be one of the Top 10 Best SJ Moments Ever! The look on Tiff's face is priceless... and that entrance does a wonderful job of characterizing Athena (before this, we only had Glory's report to go on, and that was understandably biased... poor Glory, you DO have to feel sorry for her, that HAD to hurt). Something tells me Athena is going to replace Conrad as the character I'd most like to strangle.

And hey, Kellogg, five points for the Monty Python allusion, there.

Oh, another one? Good things come in pairs, or something like that. Well, here's a welcome basket. It's not a bona fide tradition yet, but you never know.

As for Athena, her entrance, while intriguing, does not give me much to go on. She certainly seems exactly like Glory has described her, though. What I am more interested in is Drezzer suggesting that Tiffany has become too single-minded for her own good.

Wow, all this welcoming, I feel special. :D Thanks, folks!

As for Tiff becoming too single-minded... we've already seen, based on how quickly she forgave Conrad for flirting with Comfort, that she's afraid of ending up like her mother-- i.e. without a permanent stable relationship (though for the record, Natasha seems happy enough)-- and that tends to make her behave illogically. If she sees Glory as a threat to her apparently developing relationship with Leonard, maybe she's acting based on the same insecurity? Leonard's usually pretty perceptive, hopefully he'll catch on and stop her from going overboard. Then again, where's the fun in that?

Hey, LostPirateTX.

Just curious: Your icon looks like some of the Fishing boats down in Corpus. Is that where you're at?

You're close! It's a shrimper on Galveston Bay, out of Kemah (yeah, there's more to Kemah than tourist traps, YAY SHRIMPERS!).

Hehe...nice to see Tiff disconcerted like that. And Athena seems personable enough. Interesting to see where this will go.

Athena? Personable? Pfff, personally, I dislike her on sight... even after today's comic. Maybe I'm subconsciously blaming her for replacing Glory (yeah, I know, Glory's no saint herself, but even SHE didn't deserve that), but there's just something about her that I wouldn't trust... she seems personable enough, but given what we know of her background, I'm guessing that's just more of a manipulative act. Yup, just call me the new resident cynic... Hehehe.

In our world, isn't the status of a lioness based on how well she brings food to the dinner table? By extension, would SJ lionesses be judged on how well they "bring home the bacon"?

Not defending or attacking either lioness here, just wondering if the system works analogously.
I love both meanings of "Got fur?"
