Nah...guess not. Saw a long time romance between friends go sour recently. Kinda revives my faith in it a bit. I'm a romantic at heart.

Check out the first panel: Alondro's left paw is gripping the panel's border. These small, interesting touches are among my favourites.

Jewels wrote:So...Leona does have a romantic side.

Leona's "romantic side" rarely manifests itself during her waking hours, (not many chances for that to happen!) so naturally it has to come up during her dreams. Leona seems to be getting a lot more sympathy lately, her character presented in a somewhat different light. :) See how she clutches her pillow when she awakes...

I expected, however, that Leona would see herself as the role she aspires to have, i.e. Hart O' Steele, rather than Leona-5. Also of note is the fact that she wants Alondro to "take her away". Is this, perhaps, indicative of her need for another agent or a powerful mate who will help her turn her life around? The psychological interpretation of dreams is intriguing, if misleading at times...

I also wonder about her closing line. Does she mean that she decided not to star in "Kitten Kaboodle" after all? :-?

We haven't really seen Hart, have we? Guess Leona's having a bit of trouble visualising her as well.
On the other paw she should have no problems with visualising Leona-5 after wearing her for quite some time.

I imagine the robot costume was one of them 4-hour hollywood makeup sessions. Ork.

I -really- want to see Tifferella become a series, and not just for Leona's likely alter ego, which admittedly makes my little fanboy self just squeal with glee.

I want to see Leona happy. More specifically, I want to see her struggle to accept that she -is- happy. I want to see who is under that neurotic armor she's put up around herself.

In short, I want to see more strips like this one, except where she isn't dreaming.

You'll have to sign up to read it. I'll try to get an HTML version of the story up on the main SJ page soon.

Hee!

I just noticed that Leona's dream includes her much hated
Purple Contact Lenses. :o

I wonder if Tiffany ever has dreams of chain mail bikinis?

Excellent work, Gneech! 8)

Excellent coloring, Katayamma! I think panel 5 is one of the
best one's you've ever done! 8)

Domo arigato, Gozhiamasu!

It wasn't bad work considering how late the Gneech got it to me. When I finished it up last night, I wasn't very happy with it, but now that I look at the strip, I think it was pretty good work considering what a rush job it was.

Hopefully the Gneech will give me more bedroom scenes to color in the future, nei?

Considering her complaints about her fur in the links, I'd have to say they are nightmares.

You know what would be really neat? To have a dream that, in the retelling, would not earn me a one-way trip to a padded room.

That crazy Randolph Carter. Although, it would be pretty interesting to have dreams like that. Unless they ended up driving you completely mad, as so many things Lovecraft writes about do. What's up with that?

Um... I do apologise for "bumping" this thread, but I happened to notice that this comic is actually dated December 9, 2004. Can it possibly be a premonition of some sort?
