Hello again. 8)

A small question... (I asked before but didn't get an answer)
In this one, is that Arden there at the buffet?

Would it be ok, forinstance, to suggest that Fusion D make a cameo
ambushing Lanston in the parking garage? Then someone discovers
his luxury car in the parking garage with Langstons blood splattered
on the side? You could explore a predation investigation. I asked
Yamcha about this and he wasn't familiar with the Suburban Jungle.
I was once involved in a downsizing where they moved the company into
a warehouse. Then they made the few remaining employees share
the warehouse with a travel agency. I had to quit. The job was killing me.
Anyways, I wasn't sure how to E-mail you. But I could delete this post if it's in bad taste.

Hey, GothGuru. :) Alas, I don't know who Fusion D is ... but "Kevin and Kell" is in the throes of a predation-wrinkled murder mystery right now, and I don't particularly want to go into the same territory while that's going on. :)

That's cool. It's your strip. What date did that start. Sounds interesting.
Besides, the ex-employees of that company could go to all of the clients
and set them up with a desktop computer and put the company out of
it's misery. I think that's what happened to the company I used to work
for. That's another thing you don't have to think about for a-while.

Apparently, this thread has succumbed to the dreaded "missing post bug".... This should be post 20 for this page, so we'll be fine for at least 16 more posts.

EDIT: or it's post #1 for the next, either way we've bumped it. :P

There's a thread about this bug on Keenspot Central. Apparently it only affects older threads that got hit by the big crash last winter. Some posts were lost but the post count stayed unaltered, so whenever we get close to the end of a page the program thinks we have already passed it and makes a link to a nonexistent page.
Before I posted this, there was one post on page four, and the reply count (which should be one less than the number of posts as the opening post isn't counted) was 62 where it should have been 60. Compare with the new Leonard's Chest thread which just rolled around to page 3 - it shows 40 replies (or rather did when I checked). Certain other old long threads seem to be missing several posts...
If there was a way to edit the post count, all messed up threads could be put right, but it doesn't look like the problem has very high priority...

Fusion Who?

Postby GothGuru on Tue May 13, 2003 9:55 pm

Fusion D is an online comic about a catgirl created by the allegedly mad scientist named Dr D. She want's to destroy the world for some reason.
She has killed a lot of the minor characters. She recently indirectly
got someone to destroy that world so I stopped reading it. Yamcha was trying to put together a collection of guest shots. I see now how her
appearance would not match the direction of your strip. I've also discovered Kevin and Kell. It's a different webcomic. It's not a thread in
Suburban Jungle. I sometimes get confused but I'm willing to admit it.
Suburban Jungle has animal people who are trying very hard not to give in to their animal nature. It's like Fight Cast and Evade but modern era.

So, is Fusion related to Tenacious?

Another girl out to destroy the world "for some reason", huh? Kind of reminds me of Muscarine, a game most of you probably never heard of because it only exists in a 2/3 finished version on the Amiga. In this one the heroine Erica Evermore is on a mission to destroy the universe. Why? To maintain the cosmic balance! There are so many scenarios where you have to save the world, so in this one you have to do the opposite just for the sake of balance...

Tennacious D?

Postby GothGuru on Thu May 15, 2003 12:45 am

I don't know. I haven't read it from the beginning. Maybe. Rapper
DNA would explain her violent nature.

I understand it's a little far into the thread to post this, but I would just like to thank "The Gneech" (do I have to use the quotes, and should I capitalize "the"?) for this sticky, being new to the board and all. So, thank you! :D

Mopsy somehow bears a striking resemblance to Tiffany there.

Well, there are two possible explanations. I'll leave it to you to decide which one is most likely. ;)

1) When you haven't drawn someone for a long time - during which you have been drawing someone else regularly - it can be hard to get back to the old look. For that matter, TG's style has changed since he last used to draw Mopsy regularly, so we haven't really seen much of her in his new style. Does she resemble Tiff in particular, or is she just drawn the same way as his other females in general?

2) It's magic! Maybe Mopsy has noticed how popular Tiff is and changed her appearance to resemble her a bit more. Or even wilder...

"Hi Tiff."
"Oh, hi Mopsy. I haven't seen you in ages. How are you doing?"
"Not bad. A bit bored, but that can't be helped. Look, can you do me a favour?"
"Sure, as long as it's legal."
"It is, but can be considered cheating. I'm supposed to pose for a picture, but I've been out of circulation for so long I'm not sure I can do it right."
"You want some tips? Sure, the first..."
"Not exactly. I wonder if you could do it for me."
"Me? But I don't look like you!"
*POOF*
"Now you do."
"Eeep! My fur! My claws! My fangsh! What's that on my head? What have you done to me?"
"Don't worry, I'll undo it after the session."
"Ok okay then. Just hope it won't take too long. I start drooling when I look in the mirror. (pause) You know, I could really trick some rabbits this way..."

Hmmm, odd. I've never noticed a resemblance, other than the Gneeches style, and even there I can see differences.

The Auld Grump, who prefers Mopsy, having a liking for Pookas.
