Behind the Scenes

Just wanted to say, I've been enjoying the "Behind the Scenes" comics we've been getting. I live behind the scenes of GPF, and it's nice to see the creative thought processes of someone else for a change.

On that same note, Brad Guigar over at Evil Inc.brought to my attention the blog of Jim Borgman, talking about the sensitivity in using a minority character in a comic. Just wondering Ian, have you ever had to change the ethnicity of a character to avoid potential backlash, similar to how you changed that one comic after 9/11?

Hi Keri! Nope, I never changed a character's ethniticity in the strip, but in the Posters story, I originally had the R.I.G. graphic artist speak with a lisp. It wasn't meant to be offensive, but I figured it might bother some nonetheless.
