Cameos in or with Bruno the Bandit

Postby Hogan on Tue Jul 26, 2005 3:04 am

Bruno the Bandit needs to come out in the spotlight, be recognized for what a great comic it is and gain new readers... rarely has anything written been more true!

With this I would like to help, and here are what I first and foremost will do:

I'm running this little fun project called The Webcomic Crossover & Cameo Archive, featuring as many the cameos/references and crossovers between webcomics as possible, and off course Bruno the Bandit has it's own entry

Now, while Bruno was one of the first webcomics I read, it's really extensive (which was a blast when I read it!) to go through looking for overlooked cameos to add, and there got to be other webcomics than those listed which have an obvious Bruno cameo/reference!

So, my idea is to enlist your help to add all those missing references/cameos to the site, thereby linking Bruno to as many other entries as possible and getting in contact with the readers of those comics (there are people using the Archive, and hopefully more will come!)
who browse those entries.

The idea is, that when readers (us) encounter get news about our favourite comic having a cameo/reference in to another comic (BtB i this case), we usually go to said comic to see what's it all about, and perhaps browse a few strips, sometimes being drawn into the story and staying for good!. Similarly, references and cameos in other comics would help to lure their readers to Bruno, and hopefully some of them will get helplessly stuck as they experience the comic.

So... if you know of any links in or with Bruno the Bandit, post them here, PM or mail me, or use the Archive forum to bring them to my attention, and I'll add them as quickly as possible.

It may not help much, but... it's worth a try! 8)

There's also the Sluggy Freelance crossover storyline with tons of characters from comics published by Plan 9 coming together (or so was my understanding), but I always have trouble finding that storyline in the archives ^^;

Here is a cameo in GPF of a kid at a Halloween party, dressed up as Bruno. In fact a lot of the kids' costumes in this one ended up being cameos from other webcomics.

*rolls up his sleeves* Lets get adding! 8)

The only problem I have is the guest-strips, such still haunt a grey area in the Archive... I GOT to make a decision about it one of these days! :-?

But there is still this ! :wink:

Keep them coming! :D

Doesn't April read Bruno the Bandit in one of the CRFH strips?

You've already got one for Freefall, but there's an earlier one as well:
