THIS IS SO COOL!

Postby mouse on Sat Jan 18, 2003 11:26 am

all right, i forgive you for not giving us a hint of what you were talking about. i read sluggy before bruno (i always save the best for last) - so it was a _total_ surprise. you are such a great choice for this - you are easily one of the better artists in the net cartoon world, and you do such wonderful monsters! and even though lord h. is in the upper world, i'm sure steve uozin will scare up lots of ugly beasties for you to draw! and, of course, this will bring you to the attention of greater sluggydom, thus providing you with the increased circulation you so much deserve. congratulations!

....so will you still remember us when you're rich and famous?

Well, there were indirect hints. Consider:

-Pete says that starting today, he won't be doing Sluggy on Saturdays.
-Ian tells us to check Bruno for some big announcement today.
-Pete and Ian have been known to conspire together in the past.

I actually had a bit of a hunch that it would be Sluggy-related, although obviously I couldn't predict *exactly* what it would be. Well, I suppose I *could* have, if Ian hadn't found out about me sneaking into his house to read the upcoming strips... ;)

Well, it was the dragon tracks in the front yard that gave you away, after all! :D

Later,
Ian

P.S. to Mouse: remember you when I'm rich and famous? How could I ever forget you, dah-ling?

Mouse - look carefully... he just said that you were unforgettable. The rest of us are doomed to lie in obscurity.

One good way to keep me from forgetting you is to send me vast sums of money.

Try it, it works! :D

See, I've been reading Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH lately, so I have a new perspective on mice.

What perspective is that? First person? 3/4 overhead view?

Time delay perspective? Tell us the next couple BTB strips. Lest you be pulled inside out and used as a mop.

archio will be defeated, and bruno will confront the next vice, which will be......sloth!

(and if that's not it, it's only because he's too lazy)

this time delay thing could be kinda scary.
