you may actually be right. fuzzy plastic is one of those childhood-evoking smells.....so it's probably about time for it to come back as a nostalgia thing.

or we could have noddy-headed fuzzy plastic hamsters (with built-in music box)

[innocent] but...but....i thought you would find it soothing! especially the cheery little laugh![/innocent]

seriously, i just feel terrible. i hope it's not one of those things that is now lingering on in your mind, repeating endlessly, hour after hour, despite everything you do to forget it, until _everything_ you hear fits into that rhythm of 'deet an de da do da do da, do do do do do-do doooo'.

gee - what can i say? *snicker*

You can say: "It's sure a pity that Ant never bothered to hook speakers up to his computer..."

It really is a shame; I don't play games (no time or inclination), and I got bored of "system sounds" 15+ years ago when Atari was the insane starbards to introduce them...

Although, I do recall getting many a chuckle after letting someone use my ST, with the "Alarm" bell replaced by a sample of Rick Mayall (The Young Ones) shouting "You Stupid Bastard!" whenever anyone clicked somewhere that they shouldn't have...

Thankfully, I gained a decent sense of humour since then.

(I keep it in a box underneath the bed. I might even use it some day!)

A friend of mine did a parody of hampsterdance called the 'Al Gore Dance' where he used the music, but all the pics of Al Gore did not move. His site has since been taken over by a squatter, so you won't find it anywhere.

And thus saving humanity from:

i) the terrors of crap political humour
ii) the nightmare of crap, 'in your head' muzak
iii) small pink furry monsters from the planet Zarkon.

He had just replaced Clinton with W right before he lost the site. (The site was called Catatonic Comix)

I don't know... Why do people persist with Political Satire?

I mean, with the politicians that the world has nowadays, aren't they a bit of a free kick?

*sigh* a free kick on a politician - i'd even pay money to do it....

besides, the only other thing to do is make fun of the electorate - and they're just sort of a blob.

Hey, take a look at us then:

1) South Australia was the first state in the first country of the world to introduce "Anonymous voting."

2) South Australia was the first state in the first country of the world to give women the right to vote.

3) Australia is one of the few countries to introduce compulsory voting.

Pick the odd one out. 2 of them are smart moves...
