Tradewars 2002

WooHoo! Tradewars is back!

When I was running my BBS on Maximus, I used to have Tradewars, LORD (Legend Of the Red Dragon), Usurper and BRE (Barren Realms Elite) as my most popular Doors. (Followed up BRE with Falcon's Eye, of course.)

Ah, those were the days. I can remember the Tradewars tournament where...

Ye Ghods... I just realised. I'm getting Old! :o

no, i'm sure you realized it before - but you know what they say about getting older - your memory is the second thing to go :P

i've actually managed to avoid gaming so far - although i admit i'm curious. problem is, i already spend too much time staring at a computer screen -

Bah! You're not a geek until you've seen the sun rise too many times, still coding away on that latest project, caffeine being pumped intravenously.

Besides, we're talking the "Good Ol' Days" of ASCII (or ANSI if you were lucky) BBS Terminal proggies.

You know - maximum of 8 colours, VGA res and all that... Everything text-mode.

Speaking of being geeky and looking at a screen too much:

I've noticed that on a geek-news-related site that I read (and sometimes post crap in the forums*) that someone posted as "Bruno the Arrogant" in the vicinity of my "Antarius."

Do we have anyone here who wants to own up? :D

* (Yes, it's true. I usually post rubbish of no real importance unless I'm feeling helpful. Mailing lists, OTOH, I help till it hurts...)

And thus, Brave Major Tom was never seen again. His attempt to fill a black hole with substance was apparantly a failure.
