Disgust at inuendo in BtB!

PostPosted: Tue May 28, 2002 4:30 pm

G'day all,

I would like to say that I'm really upset about all of the inuendo in BtB, and I would like to discuss it with everyone...

After today's strip, talking about Master Bae-Shon and cheap (ahem) grabs about getting "hold of yourself," I feel that it is time to speak out.

Come on, everybody. Let's have a Mass Debate about this!

Cheers,

Antarius

I hope you'll understand if I don't stand too close...

So, what's your issue with the matter at hand?

I thought "Innuendo" was an Italian suppository!

Sorry, folks! Old joke...

Later,
Ian

ooo - is this going to be a contest?

so ant - you object to bae-shon as master of this domain?

personally, i've always felt ian deserves a big hand for laboring alone as he does...

It's a labor of love, which apparently gives him much satisfaction.

"Amusing" or "Abusing?"

Alright everyone! I've been waiting for a week now to sort this out! Stop sending your hate mail (you bloody Brunatics!) and re-read my post.

Gawd, how could you have missed that? I'm no more subtle than Ian!

Yes, Mother, you can stop the abuse too! (slap!)

Anyhow, I must congratule Ian on how he was able to pull himself together and pull off such a spectacular strip. Especially since it is a Solo effort.

Ian, how do you do it? How do you Wankel something together that is this swell? After all, there is a fine line between art and pR0n, and you seem to have your finger on it.

Of course, this is all just a whitewash really, innit?

Now stop it, Kilo, or you'll go blind!

Are we done yet? I wanna go home...

Cheers,

Antarius.

Ye Ghods! I read that as "i hope you used wood glue," and was about to offer my welding services...

I second mouse's motion. Good glue is a must.

I shall research and remember the brand that was once used to keep my mouth shut. It seemed very effective, as it was able to withhold said strains for a period of 5 minutes.

Quite remarkable, actually...

yeah -- forget the peeling, I believe the screaming would get annoying rather quickly.

And you claim to be old?! You haven't even lived!

Actually, (PVA) wood glue (eg, Aquadhere) is really kind of weak. I mean, it's not even toxic. It's what they make those cute little bird-seed bells out of.

(Side note: ever tried making one with super glue?)

I used some stuff years ago: Loctite Prism (not an ad!). In a demonstration of how piss-weak glue is, when some dripped on my finger, I put my fingers together and feined "Oh dear! My fingers have glued together... Whatever will I do?"

It was at this time that I realised that Prism was the best glue I had ever used...

Yup - by the time that I pried my fingers loose, I had ripped out a chunk of flesh that left a hole ~3mm deep.

Needless to say, I respect it now!

Sounds like a serious substance.

My current choice in adhesives is call GOO! Comes in different flavors (carpenters', plumbers', general hhld...).

It takes a few hours to cure (in mass), but it doesn't really matter what the materials are -- it dries out to a tough resin that is next to impossible to tear or dislodge.

Not instant, but good enough to reseal my favorite pair of tromping boots.
