Nicely subtle bit of story telling in the third panel there.

The big question is: Did she jump, was she pushed or did she slip?

i figure she hung herself out of guilt with the rope that you pull to ding the bell. that would explain the dinging and the legs. doesn't really explain how king luca would allow it though. she'd have to tie a noose and whatnot without him interfering. maybe he left her to be alone in her guilt?

If she hung herself then with the bell rope she would probably be in the tower as:

[list=That's where the rope already is and]
[list=Hanging herself on the outside would draw attention (which would probably mean someone would save her)]

Furthermore, the position of her legs suggest she's trying to scramble to safety, which she wouldn't do if she was trying to commit suicide.

Personally, I think she slipped and Luca is using the bell rope to save her.
