While I liked the "humor vocalization" bit, it's the end that really made me grin. Imagine...A robot made of stone and stained glass. It would, indeed, be cool.

I've actually seen something similar to the church-bot in a couple of Japanese RPGs.

As have I. Also recall something of a 'stained glass golum' from AD&D.

if Gav wanted to use that picture above as a special intro for said churchbot, that would rock

Brilliant idea! We'll draw up AD&D stats for all the Nukees 8)

Maritza always knows how to make my day! :D :D :D

Unfortunately, it's my one-off jokes that inspire the most intriguing storylines that never happen.

Stats for the Nukees? Somehow I see Intelligence scores of 18 and Wisdom scores of 3 in that mix.

This thread reminds me of the "Dread Gazebo" story one of my undergrad housemates told me:

DM: "You enter a clearing. There is a gazebo standing next to a pond."
Player: "Is it attacking?"
DM: "Uh... no, but..."
Player: "Has it seen us?"
DM: "No, but seriously..."
Player: "I take the initiative and attack it! *roll* Any effect?"
DM: "Not really..."
Player: "Then I use my second attack to strike again! *roll* Any effect?"
DM: "*sigh* *roll* You are now dead."
Player: "Wow! These Gazebos are really tough!"
I hope that made sense...

Sorta reminds of a gaming tale I'd heard, couple of guys doing a dungeon crawl...

GM: The room thru the door is about 30 feet square, with a large circular pool in the center. There is a leak in the pool.

Player1: Is it a big leak?

GM: Ummm... about average sized, I guess.

P1: Okay, I try to plug the leak.

GM: :o You.... with what?!

P1: Ummm... wrap some cloth around my fingers, and stick my hand into it, I guess.

GM: ...okay, you take 10 points of unholy damage.

P1: WHAT?!

P2: *peeks at GMs notes* Uh, dude? That's pronounced 'lich'....

Hooray! She is still The Campos. Fear her megawatt eyes!

If that's the case, then, what is up with that signature? I mean... The best I could guess is that it spells "Ltzet?"

Under the old 2nd Edition rules, a "glass golem" was a "dread golem" from Ravenloft. I have a feeling it didn't make the transition to 3.0/3.5/d20. Useful though, as it's something you never expect as a monster.

I deny the existance of 3.0 and anything after.
I will continue to do so until a 4.0 comes out, all the 3.0+ stuff becomes cheap enough I can afford to replace my gaming library, and I will then deny the esistance of 4.0+ until a 5.0 comes into existance.
...nah, 2nd Ed unto death. Damn whippersnappers... stoopid kids trying to screw up a perfectly good game by making it 'easy to understand'.... damn it, THAC0 was what seperated the Players from the Jocks, dag-nabbit!

Actually, I was a die-hard conversion myself, but while I don't really like the "munchkin-ness" of 3.0, 3.5 isn't that bad. Besides... I like fighting dragons that are lethal, not nuisances.

Yes, it did. If memory serves, the rules for them are in the MM2. I think there are rules for turning yourself into a golem-cyborg in there, as well (and the rules for turning yourself into a stained-glass golem cyborg were in its web enhancement.

Interesting. Since I don't have MM2, I guess I need to make a trip to a local gaming shop and look that up.

"Funny" (that is, not funny at all) fact: Reading this I could only think: "What does Molecular Mechanics have to do with Nukees and Churchbots?"
