Hey! My Mom believes the same thing!

Where as my family comes from a scandanavian background. If it isn't pale/white, put a sauce on it to cover the color up.
Helps to camoflauge the food from scavangers ya know....

I am reliably informed that in the UK, one typically boils one's food until the meat and the vegetables are the same flavor, the same texture, and a uniform shade of grey....

One of my favorite foods is cholent, where the ideal is that everything in the pot acquires the same brown color and the same taste. Mmmm... kishkes.

I saw something in a magazine today which seemed to be forwarding the same theory. Although the main message seemed to be merely 'don't just eat green vegetables'.
