Nothing more exciting I'm afraid. Just enjoyable. Like a random ginger boy at kings cross, also equally unobtainable.

Ho hum

Your fake fangirl :p

Hey miss kyri, where do you live now? I just met Dannyreal the other day and he's telling me that he's moving from Berkeley in a month, to one of two possible jobs, one north (Oregon) and one south (San Diego). Maybe he's getting closer? ;)

Unfortunately, this of course means an even slimmer chance of new Danny quotes in the future.

So, are the younger Nukee characters ever going to get promoted to full cast members?

Even though I love Danny and Suzy Gee, it would be funny if they graduated and new characters came in. That way, Gav's perpetual studentship would be highlighted by all the other characters eventually rotating out.

unfortunatly (no offense to gav) I don't think the freshmen really have enough qualities to make them into full time members. Their main attribute seems to be 'being freshmen'

Some of these characters have been around for years. Even with Nukee's slow pace, they can't *still* be freshmen.

Ah! I have proof!

That comic was slightly before the first Agnostica, and King Luca has thrown a second Agnostica party since then. So Steve and Jerry have been around for at least a full year. If they're still Freshmen after that long, then they're definitely following in Gav's footsteps!

Didn't one of them at some point say that he finally understood that flux was mean free path per volume, not particles per area, and that he was finally learning, at which point someone else says, "That was a course we took last year."

Yeah, I read that one recently, but I couldn't remember where it is in the archives.

Sometimes I colloquially refer to them as "the Freshmen" (not in the strip, but maybe here), but really, they're about juniors now. So says the official word.

And yeah, their entertainment value really only works as background characters.

Yeah, the one really successful "new guy" is Cecilia.

Well, and Linus. There hasn't been enough Linus. If he's going to live up to Gav's expectations of graduating before Gav, he'd better hurry up and register for some classes.

Of course, neither Cecilia nor Linus is a Nukee.

More to the point, I suppose, is that they're undergrads. Right?

hehe, sadly I booked it out of cali last year for various reasons (I think I mentioned I used to live in Santa Cruz). These days I reside in Brooklyn, NYC, which does little to make oregon or san diego close it would seem! I do have friends in sunny sandy-ego, however, and intend to visit them in the summer if at all possible....... :d

The danny strips have been making me happy. I will muchly miss quotes tho!

still giggling over agnostic linigirie.... (sp?)

I suggest visiting them in the winter! That way, you can get out of that NYC winter weather, and into a far more tolerable climate.
