Poor Gav. <P>They spent all that time together and Shea didn't call once , doesn't even want to be friends anymore.

Nah. I have to disagree here.
<p>So, maybe Gavcharacter gave Sheacharacter everything that she wanted and needed. She doesn't seem to think so, though. As for the opposite relatonship...well, Shea isn't Gav's life support system. Moreover, whilst we've seen a couple of strips with Gav feeling badly about not having Shea around, he really doesn't seem to have spent a lot of the past two years mourning his loss, or doing anything constructive about it (leaving aside the fact that it's bloody difficult to imagine using "Gav" and "constructive" in the same sentence <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspot.com/KeenBoard/smile.gif">).
<p>True, being suddenly and unexpectedly thrown together with Shea as he was can bring up all of the regrets and memories of the past. The past is past, though; regretting it can be proper, but won't change it. Gavcharacter's statement, today, "Right. You win. I lose. Thanks for playing." pretty much sums it up.
<p>Shea doesn't want to play anymore, so go on to the next game. To quote Suzy Gee from another strip, "Suck it up, Gav". Maybe, just maybe, Gavcharacter will come out of this with the realization that he has to bring more to a relationship than Pez
