June 14th Comic, a real eye-opener

Postby Hans Lemurson on Tue Jun 15, 2010 10:05 am

Hi, I've been a loyal but silent reader of this comic for years, and as is commonly the case, break my silence when there is a nit to pick.

Alpha's "totally-not-mind-controlling-pep-talk" last page had a very profound effect on constable Jimmy. What a fool he was for being at all hesitant to attack a heavily armed professional military group! He sure is seeing things from a different perspective now, a real eye-opening experience -- wait...BOTH eyes? I coulda sworn he had an...eyepatch. :o
(checks previous page to make sure)
Yup he definitely did.

There are only two possibilities for what could have happened here:
1.) Alpha has secret unconscious miracle-healing abilities.
2.) Our venerable artist made a little goof.

Two shocking possibilities but how do we know which one is right?
However, it's not for me to force my world-view upon you (that's Alpha's job), I'm just a humble conveyer of information.
That's right: I report, you decide.

or, he generally tricks him into thinking hes half blind as a method of control, and removes that control to pep him up.

Yes. I see now that you are in fact completely correct. How silly of me to believe any other explanation, I'm not sure quite what I was thinking, but it was certainly wrong. Thank you for bringing me around to the correct way of looking at this issue.

Surprisingly, the pun was not intended, I was simply trying to convey that I was surely not in any way being mind controlled to agree with you.
