all that editing of your avatars into green mice finally gave me the inspiration i desperately needed for one of my university projects.
so yeah, i just wanted to give my thanks to the few people left who'll read this. :P inspiration is hard to come by for me!

i've uploaded the resulting children's story onto Deviantart if anyone is interested in taking a peek. >>;

pages 1&2, pages 3&4, pages 5&6 and pages 7&8 (the other pages are yet to be uploaded)

you've only yourselves to blame. ;P

I like it, ChibiBecca. I can't wait for the other pages to be uploaded. Are you planning to submit it to a publisher?

Neato, but why aren't they a comic? It's got all that sequential art stuff going for it.

it's only for a university project, i doubt it's good enough to be published. i'd have to colour the entire bloomin' thing anyway if i was going to aim for that. ^^;

the project brief was for a 20-ish page children's book. it's taken me forever just to draw these pages, a comic that long would've killed me! :p

pages 9 and 10

Boy, that is really cute. Classic story (as far as I can tell) and the pipe and pearls on the momma and dad are just too cute for words. Wheee!!

When do we get to see the rest?

So basically the message is "Don't talk to people who are different than you." :-|

It'd be amusing if it read ""What shall we do?" ejaculated Daddy mouse."

BECAUSE IT IS ALSO A SYNOM...synimon...syninemo....that word that means it's like another word. For shouting.
Shit.
The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Not that your ending isn't good, but I believe mouse cannibalism would produce the most entertaining ending.

i know that only too well, as that word keeps popping up in otherwise utterly innicent old children's books in the family collection. :P still makes me giggle at how much some words can change.

the message i was sort of going for was 'don't talk and go off with strangers as they might try to eat you', but hey, that might also be correct.

odd, pages 13 and 14 work perfectly fine for me. tried looking at it through my main gallery?

someone suggested elsewhere that a more dramatic ending would've been for the mice to have eaten the cat.

..to which i had no reply other then laughing. ^^;

You should color it! :D It's very well done. The cat is so sly and tricky looking. The mice are adorable. You should definitely submit it around to some publishers after you color it.

i've still 4 other university projects to finish before september if i want a chance of being able to finally do my final year there.

but if i've the time after that, i'd very much love to colour this in. it's one of the few projects i can honestly say i've enjoyed doing. ^^ thank you!

What are you going to end up doing with it?

Publishing it would be expensive, no?
