Cannot be described through mere words.

Hee: Yeah, he's had the review up for a year or so. And he's right: It *does* take some getting used to. Fortunately some people like it once they do get used to it, but there's still a pretty steep used-to-it-getting curve.
------------------

Here's what Kevin Pease (<A HREF="http://"http://cerulean.st/absurdnotions/"" TARGET=_blank>Absurd Notions) has to say about SOAR:
"Soap on a Rope often explores the kinds of premises that would be just too outlandish for, say, Sluggy or CRFH. Nothing's off limits, but the comedic timing makes you accept whatever weird curve gets thrown at you as if it were completely normal. The strange and unique visual style is fun to get used to."
See? The art is not BAD - it is "strange" and "unique" and "fun!" It's got "style!" It's "used", "to""o", "and" "visual", "ev""en".

Bleah.
Oh well, sorry about that. Still, it might be KINDA cool.

quote:

It's sharp and complex at the same time, and everything is a little bizarro but perfectly recognizable. Reminds me of Matt Groenig's art in that way.
