Callendar archive systeme

Postby GUIGUI on Thu Mar 01, 2007 5:12 am

The usual calendar archive system provided by keenspot is really useful (especialy when you don't come everyday). Could you tell where it is for your ubersoft comic. Or is it gone? In that case, could you bring it back? Or is that part of one of the problems you have?

I took it out in order to make it easier to do some work on the archives.

A little more detail for you:

currently I'm in the process of transferring my entire archives into a mySQL database, one comic at a time. The comics from 1996 to a few months into 2003 are something of a challenge, because at the time I broke the comic image into separate panels to allow me to optimize the colors on each more efficiently (in theory, anyway).

What I've decided to do is to take screen captures of the entire comic and put that single-image comic into my archives... I removed the calendar to make the page cleaner so it would be easier for me to capture just the comic.

When the new site goes live, my entire archive will be database-driven, and will have a bookmarking system -- if you have an account on the site you can bookmark an individual comic and then access that comic from your bookmarks area at a later date.

Sounds great, Chris!

Have fun doing that with all of the old archives though, how many comics is that?
