Retro!!

Ok, so Chris had to revert back to his old emergency static page setup because Wordpress crapped out on him. Unfortunately, that also regressed the strip about 3 months. (How Retro! Just like having to use this old forum.)

So, what's the status? Need help debugging?

Early yesterday morning the site slowed down to a crawl. A few hours later I started to get database errors. I don't know if that's because the database died a slow ugly death, or if it's because one of the admins turned off the database to improve the server speed. I'm still waiting to hear.

They reverted it to the old template I was using back when I was trying to bring site back online after it was hacked, but because I didn't have ftp from work I couldn't set up the templates properly, so it was showing an older strip.

It should now be sort of working.

Ya know, you could've seen the new strip even before it was "fixed".
If you used the index and selected the last strip you could select the newer ones using the calender ;)

Yep, I was one of the lucky ones who got to enjoy yesterday's comic before the disaster struck. I'm happy to see that you have one up today, too. Sounds like we need an electronic exorcism of the "boojums" that tend to get into your site on key days. Perhaps these boojums have escaped from the latest Ubersoft game? Hmmmm.....

I was also one of the lucky few to be able to view yesterday's comic and the newsbox with Mark in it - when I arrived back at work this morning it was like ???? when I saw the regressed site...
