Today's strip's hamburger is scary and gross with the grease and slime on it. I didn't want to have a hamburger today because of it, but I did anyway and it was good.

So there.

Yeah, I don't get the advertisements in Super City. I mean, its one thing for the actual burger to be all slimy and gross, but on the billboard, even the man eating the hamburger was dirty and gross. And the hamburger itself was slimy and disgusting in the billboard. How does such advertising work? You'd think Grease Burger would want to present themselves as healthy and clean, considering every restaraunt ever wants to do that. Except for Crazy Fred's Fantastic Frankfurter Farm of course... but that guy is fucking crazy.

Perhaps Super City passed Ultra Stringent Truth-In-Advertising laws, so they have to show the burger as all slimy and gross because it _is_, but also the dude as all dirty and gross because dirty and gross people might buy the burger.

One thing I cannot abide is the lack of "Sir" in reference to Sir Michael Caine in today's strip!

Actually I don't have a problem with it.

But I heard that apparently he doesn't even open fan mail addressed to just "Michael Caine" rather than "Sir Michael Caine" because he says that if they're going to write him they should at least know something about him first.

I hope that doesn't mean that Madness is going to have to rerecord "Michael Caine" as "Sir Michael Caine" because that song rules as is and "My Name Is Sir Michael Caine" wouldn't scan as well I don't think.

This is somewhat off-topic, if there can be said to be a topic in this thread, but can someone please explain to me what the hell is on Alan's shirt? I've always wondered what the hell that grey wrinkly thing is supposed to be, and it has finally driven me too mad to stay silent. I demand an answer!!! What the hell is that thing on Alan's shirt?!?

Thingfish: You forgot the part where he'd get the buckets for the puke for the Special Sauce for the burgers.

Astro Alan

SBernard81:

It's a badly-drawn image of the moon.

Alan is a big fan of the moon. And outer space.

Yay! I can sleep at night now!

Is it possible to have both a wonderful love for the heavens and an unshaking devotion to live-action Inspector Gadget? I think the moon and Matthew Broderick may be exact opposites.
