Krazy Larry Volume 1: Full Canvas Jacket

Postby Paul Southworth on Mon Feb 02, 2004 5:02 am

Hi, everyone. I don't expect anyone will read this for awhile yet, but I figured I'd post the news just in case.

Remember that Krazy Larry monthly comic book I was telling you about so very long ago? Well, we decided to skip the whole "monthly" thing, and just lump a whole crapload of comic stories into a KL Graphic Novel. I've been working on it for about a year (yeah, I know), and I didn't want to post about it until i was sure it was actually happening (The other book, "Sanity Not Included", seems to be in limbo). So, the title is "Krazy Larry Vol.1: Full Canvas Jacket", and it'll be 100 pages of new comic book format stories, plus some never-before-seen strips. It's coming out in August (do a search for "Krazy Larry" on Amazon, if you don't believe me) and here's the cover design:

OH, also...to promote the book, I'm going to start updating the site again with new comics on a regular schedule. Maybe five days a week, but more likely three. Anyway, that's it! NO WAIT THERE'S MORE!

Krazy Larry Computer Beanie Buddy! Just like the Chopping Block one! OH MY GOD! COMING SOON!

More on THAT as it develops. See you guys later, and thanks for giving a crap.

So Keenspot suckered Amazon to thinking you're doing something huh? Amazing!!!

Until you get busy, right? So that's what, about 2 weeks?

Seriously though, I'm glad you're alive and well. I need new KL stuff. I'm spending all my money at Goats.com. Let's get going if you want some of my coinage. :D

Hope married life is going well and your job(?) too. Still waiting on the wedding pics.

Your big fan.

Hey now! No fair using past instances to predict my future behavior! To quote Homer Simpson, "Anything looks bad if you remember it."

As for wedding pics, you and me both are waiting. When the new strips start posting and people start trickling back (I hope) maybe I'll share some.

But right now we're moving into our lavish new basement apartment (soon to be featured on "Underground Cribs"!), so no new strips until we get all moved in.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL. ACTUAL KRAZY LARRY BOOK COMING SOON. I SWEAR TO EVERY GOD THERE EVER WAS.

Yeah but didn't someone else say "Those who forget the past are Doomed to repeat it"?

Homer also said (my favorite quote, roughly), "Everytime I learn something new I forget something else. Like the time I learned to make wine and forgot how to drive..."
Marge replies, "That's because you were DRUNK!"

I don't want to donate any of my organs because I'm afraid I'll get to the afterlife and discover that I need to hollow out my liver and use it a rowboat to get across the River Styx.

Oars=Femurs, or possibly several glued-together ribs.

Don't forget the precious duodenum!

That can be used as a handy carrying case for any loose change.

By the by, we'll also be releasing a real KL tshirt when the book comes out (possibly before), not one of those Cafepress pieces of crap. Screen printing and everything. More on this as I decide on a design. In the meantime...

Paul! You're back! Holy crap.
I've missed your art and humor.
I'll definitely pick up your book as soon as it's released.

Best news I've heard all day!
