I'm writing this mostly to try to remember exactly what went on.
Well, San Diego was AWESOME. First of All, Rich (http://www.dieselsweeties.com) John-o (http://www.bobbins.org), Aric (http://www.ashfieldonline.com), Paul (http://www.krazylarry.com), Jeff Zugale (http://www.pagancity.com), Tatsuya (http://www.sinfest.net) were all super great, as were many more that I can't even begin to list. Here's a brief rundown of my adventure.
Wednesday:
Arrived at San Diego, met Rich at the ho-tel. Went to "Preview Night" at the convention, cruised by the Keenspot booth anonymously, then dove in met Howard (http://www.schlockmercenary.com) and Aaron (http://www.pentasmal.com), and Scott (http://www.pvponline.com). Left at 7 to pick up John Allison at Airport. Went back to hotel and then went to eat at some sports bar. Had pillow fight with John and Rich.
Thursday:
Embarked on convention-going. Walked around and met Brian Thompson (Alien Bounty Hunter on X-files) and went to a couple of panel discussions. The Keenspot panel was quite good. After the panel, we met Scott McCloud (http://www.scottmcloud.com). After that, met up with Darren (http://www.nukees.com) and Nate (http://www.keenspot.com) and Mike (http://www.everythingjake.com) and fulfilled my promise to purchase Darren a Guiness. Rich Stevens learned to tolerate some Scottish Men. We were at a Finnish pub and had a Guiness Martini. Staggered in LATE.
Friday:
More convention antics, more walking back and forth from the Wyndham Emerald Plaza to the Convention Center. Had lunch with Tatsuya Ishida. That was the night of the Keenspot dinner, which was a success. If you go to the KC Barbeque in San Diego by the Hyatt, you'll see a WIGU sticker on the condom machine in the men's room. Darren, Mike, John A, Nate, and David Simpson (http://www.ozyandmillie.com) and Aric M. We had fun, fun, fun, then cruised back to the hotel, and Aric and I went to some blues place and chilled. Staggered in Late.
Saturday:
Saturday was crazy, weird, super freaky day. Spent day at convention center, a lot of time with John A and Aric. Went to "Women in Comics" panel which was inspiring. Saw previews of new Space Ghost and Brak show with the creators, and David Cross and Bob Odenkirk of Mr. Show, then the panels with Scott McCloud about Digital Comics. Later, John A, Rich, and I met up with Jeff Zugale and the voice cast of Dragonball Z, and Paul Storrie, writer for the Batman Beyond comic book. To make a long story short, I ended up with smooth animation Lenord, and Tiffany and Sonny of Dragonball fame, drinking Gentleman Jack and Pepsi. So... thanks, guys!
Sunday:
Last Day of Comic-Con. I finally started to get into world of indie comics. I wish I'd have done this earlier. By this day my crew and I were pretty much exhausted (and I was still drunk). It was a good day of shopping and discovery.
Monday:
Goodbye Day. I was sad to see my roommates John and Rich go bye-bye. But we will be back next year with a much bigger presence.
My experience at the Comic-con was absolutely inspiring. That is all.

Bob & Dave rule. Didn't they have an episode making fun of HR Puffenstuff, or was that some other show? The drugs have damaged my memory.

"David Cross and Bob Odenkirk of Mr. Show"
How were the 2 guys? What did they discuss? Were they as funny as they seem?
I'm a huge Mr. Show fan (luckily I taped all the episodes) and can't wait for Run, Ronnie, Run to come out.
Rich

I did not meet Weird "Al." I didn't even know he was there until I got back. Weird Al kinda frightens me.
I only caught about 15 minutes of the Mr. Show deal. They were funny, but they weren't really being serious about anything. The were mostly complaining about how bad "Sex and the City" is.
