There have been 6 View Askew movies directed by Kevin Smith, counting Clerks 2, I believe, but not counting the Clerks cartoon. Brian O'Hallorn has been in all of them, Jeff Anderson has been in three.

I'm guessing the massive protest would have been protesting Dogma, and the group being the Catholic Church, because the movie is ridiculously sacreligious.
