Hey! Funny you should ask since I just recently finished re-reading Mystic. The original books from CrossGen were awesome; Sigil, Scion, Meridian, & Mystic.
Ruse was too boring and The First was too unfocused and rushed in it's plot.
Eventually I'll get around to reading Sojourn and Way of the Rat.
My favorites would have to be Scion and Sigil though. They both had great characters and had wonderful plotlines. Scion especially was able to weave aytpical elements together to form a world that was familiar and alien at the same time to give a really cool story.
The concept of the universe was so awesome, allowing for so many different styles of high fantasy and sci-fi to be told with in one universe where it made sense and rewarding loyal readers with a universal threat without making it too overbearing on the individual plots. It's shame it died and wasn't able to continue.
Beware the Darkness, for when it comes you will realize that it was here all along. The Darkness....is YOU.
