Dies has no idea what he should be doing now. He considers blowing out the candle, but that would probably set off some horrible trap, so instead he leaves the room and see if the ladder is bolted down or if it can be moved. But he just looks, and maybe a tiny nudge. No need to try and drop it down the gap just yet.

Leaps from shadows moves east and drops an Empty Potion Bottle into the pit. He hears a crash a short while later indicating that the pit isn't very deep.
DiesInaPit follows Leaps from shadows and examines the ladder which does appear to be bolted in place.

Hangs Around and Needs Rescuing move west. Hangs Around attacks the door, but can't get through the door's defense.

After Hangs Around, Needs Rescuing and Waits to be Saved leave the room, the beholder turns to Looking-for-a-wife and Chefcito.
"PHEW! THANK GOODNESS THEY ARE GONE. I THOUGH FOR SURE I WAS GOING TO LOSE MY LUNCH. ANYWAY, GREETINGS! WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?"
"Hi there mister. How are you doing? I see you have a lot of books, isn't reading a blast? I also see you have a chest there that appears to be locked, by any chance have a key you could spare? not for that chest, since that is yours, but we have found some others doors in this dungeon which appear to be locked..."
"AH, YES, BOOKS ARE INDEED A WONDERFUL SOURCE OF KNOWLEDGE. AS FOR A KEY, I MIGHT JUST HAVE SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN USE. TELL YOU WHAT... IF YOU CAN ANSWER THIS RIDDLE, I'LL GIVE YOU SOMETHING THAT MIGHT HELP YOU ON YOUR WAY."
The beholder clears his throat.

Wishes waits in the ladder room. If a regenerated troll appears from the left (or another troll comes from the right ladder), then he immediately runs down the left ladder. If the troll follows him down, he attacks it.

Waits tries to put the coiled rope around her shoulder or her waist, so she can take it with her and still hold onto the sword and shield. Then she will try to move back south, hoping she will not end up in the same room she already is in.

Looking-for-a-wife looks to Chefcito for some guidance.
My pet-rat says there isn't really a question in the riddle, so he's not sure what you want to hear. Buuuuut, he thinks the guy has to hold onto the bee cause he is a bee-holder, you see. Like you pretty much. And he can't let go cause it would make him blind, and who'd want that.
If the answer is wrong, Looking will ask for time to think to take another shot, since this first answer was Chefcito's. He will walk to the books and see if any of them have a title which could give him some hints.
If the answer is right, Looking will ask: So, what's the deal with those girls? I could hear you cursing them from 2 rooms over.

-2 Wisdom: Tasty People have a racial predisposition for making bad decisions.
When faced with an encounter involving a predatory creature, a Tasty Person must make a Charisma Check. If the DC (15) is met, the creature will attack the Tasty Person to the exclusion of other targets who are not also Tasty People who have met this DC. The DC should be modified for monsters with a strong sense of smell, I leave this to your discretion as a DM. The monster is not forced to attack the Tasty Person if doing so would cause it to take an attack of opportunity.
A Tasty Person's starting class should be treated as his favored class.

Tasty People speak Common.

Ok guys far to the east is a locked door that I want to explore and the only key we know of is being held by not-bob If we can't get his riddle I may decide to attack him if I do who's going to back me up?

Alright, according to the most recent map, there are 7 unexplored areas:

-> top far left door (north west) - need to pass button floor puzzle
-> bottom left pit (south west) - need rope to explore safely
-> bottom right door 1 (south east)- need a key
-> bottom right door 2 (south east) - need rope and a key
-> top ladder (north) - M0rt is checking out
-> top doorway (north) - no one's checking (?)
-> main office door (north) - no answer

So, I'm thinking the bottom group moves north and meets up with the top group while they explore the two north routes, then we get the rope and come back down to search this pit (hopefully with reinforcements in case we encounter either a regenerated troll, or the other one).

Missed that.
I knew there'd be some reason everyone was ignoring it, but I must have overlooked that bit the first time I checked.........

That leaves 6 unexplored areas (5 if you remove the ladder), four of which require keys or are currently inaccessible in other ways.

SPOILERS:You guys could always make your own rope, you know. There are enough tapestries to do it, two in the cake room, and one in the room with the two ladders...
If you work together, it could be done really quickly, too. I'm not saying that you can't have mine, just trying to point out that making one for yourself might be quicker than to travel the whole dungeon and back again. ;)

"Could you guys hurry up, please. I think we should join up with the others as soon as possible."

Leaps from shadows moves west then picks up the Empty Potion Bottle.
DiesInaPit examines the ladder. He discovers that it is actually made of a high-grade adamantium alloy which has been painted to look like wood. He then follows Leaps back to the east.
Runs Into Koalas follows Leaps from shadows and DiesInaPit to the west and then back to the east. That was productive.

Hangs Around moves west and then climbs down the ladder... with predictable consequences.

Needs Rescuing moves west and south. Her stomach rumbles.

My pet-rat says there isn't really a question in the riddle, so he's not sure what you want to hear. Buuuuut, he thinks the guy has to hold onto the bee cause he is a bee-holder, you see. Like you pretty much. And he can't let go cause it would make him blind, and who'd want that.
The beholder stares at Looking-for-a-wife for a moment.

Looking-for-a-wife looks at the books on the shelf, but unfortunately they are all written in Beholderese which he can't read.

SPOILERS:Wow. I didn't really expect to be able to leave the "infinity" room again. At least not that easily.


ImageWaits will go west and wait for the other girls (especially Hangs) to catch up. Because going alone somewhere in this pit is dangerous. If there is something hostile in the room, she'll attack it.
