Because you can't have two actions in the same turn.
ACTIONS:
Every turn you can perform an "action", "move" and/or perform a "free action".
Action: Attack, interact with the environment in any way, talk to NPCs. You can also "Move" as an action. Attacking ends your turn.
Move: Move from one room to another or in the same room if you don't have a clear road to where you want to go. If you move into an unexplored room, you can't move anymore.
Free Action: Talking to another player, picking ONE item from a chest or a fallen enemy, Giving ONE item to another player.

"You can't figure it out? Then I'll explain! I'm sick of the blind stupidity! I'm sick of not being told anything. I'm sick of all the fighting, killing, and dying without knowing the gods-damned reason! And worst of all, I'm the only one who seems to care! We had to fight a pair of giants before the guys upstairs would even listen to me. So yeah, I'm gonna go talk to the other side and see if any them care about stopping the fighting and saving lives. If that makes me a traitor, then fine! Better a traitor than a warmonger."

We probably needed to go further into the area one of the giants chased us out of, where the archer almost killed several of us. My thought is that it would have been fairly close to that room.

The orc would follow the robed lizard to the healing, or to the leader if the lizard took him there instead. Otherwise, the orc gets a better look at the spider on the ceiling.
